Marine Radar

<div class="IPBDescription">Radar problems</div> Well how does it work, I can't seem to use it to find where i am or where to go. It doesn't help. It would be nice if you were to put a dot on it to tell where u are. Btw can u make some things like in AVP(alien vs. Pred.) such as the leap attack for the alien for right click, and right click for zoom for the marine. I would also like to add on the right click right now should be shift so the scope on the marine gun is just for showing.

P.S. Sorry for any bad english or whatever, I'm pretty sleepy, my brother was snoring all night so i only got 15 mins of sleep.

    Bring a scope to your eye, and I eat you.

    No point in having a scope, the hallways are too narrow. And we need that right-click interface, anyways, to build stuff.

    No offense dude, but if you want a game more like AvP, go play AvP.

    The radar right now is just sort of there. I remember at some point Flayra said that in the near future marines will see the map like the commander does, or something like it. But I may have heard him wrong, but I doubt he'd let the radar just be a bunch of lines in which it is semi-difficult even to tell which way you're going.

    well at least i think they should get rid of the scope, just gets really annoying after a while. I must admit some of the features are quite nice, I quote again "Why can't we just use the shift key to do the selecting, while the right click can be used for something else". I'm thinking of an outside map, what about u guys? I need the radar! I'm GETTING LOST!!!

    lol, scope on guns, it'll be counterstrike all over again cept this time funnier, you see the whole marine team sitting there in the halls with 20 aliens right behind them and non of them even seeing the aliens, very good idea....

    I hope they dont include maps for the marines ever.

    That way it increases their need for a commander to give them way points, cuts down on ramboing as you have no idea where you are going without help, and adds to the fear of entering a new area.

    Scopes in NS? Against skulks and lerks? Heh... you wish.
    Onos and Fade are big enough to take out without scope, and the gorge isn't dangerous.

    However, having the radar function when you get observatory would be very nice.

    As mentioned above scoped weapons doesnt fit in the game.

    But i do think that with an observatory up you should be able to research functioning radar for the marines. But the marine radar isnt as powerfull as the commander one so it should only be able to see maybe 30 - 40 meters around you, or it would almost remove the purpose of a commander.

    you could have scope but its SO useless, you dont need 1 shotkills, infact you won't get them, what if they come behind u, etc. EVEN a skulk could avoid ur sniper fire...and anything else can take the beating.

    the marine radar works fine... top right hand corner of the screen you have a minimap and if you have motion tracking you should be EASILY able to figure out where they are, my only gripe is that the minimap for marines does not rotate to face the way you are going OR show wich way you are facing.

    I don't see how people can get soo lost.     What would be the point of a scope? This isnt CS, 1 shot 1 kill, and im pretty sure the NS team is smart enough to avoid making a "super gun" *cough* awp

    No, no, no i'm not talking about that. I'm really talking about is the scope used to see in a farther distance to see it clearly, to make sure what it is. Or use the scope to shoot at far distance for precise accuratccy.

    Well I would also find it kinda funny if the NS team thought of a laser! lol just a thought though. Some times the scope would block your vision to your target.

    I agree, weapon scopes are misplaced... But what about binoculars? Let you see the other side of that big room to pinpoint the location of the alien def chambers :)

    As someone who usually plays Alien (well, Random team, but aliens are ALWAYS on the low side for players), I support scopes on the LMGs. They're not accurate enough for a scope to be effective, and it'd mean disorientation and tunnel vision for the marine using it.     ok fine no scope i can understand but for you people that think a scope would be useless you FULL OF **obscenity**.


    A scope would be soooo useful on much of the maps. Many have long corridors that would be nice to be able to see all the way done, yes it would be uselss against a skulk, but guess what there is 4 other aliens in the dam game. it would be hella nice against a fade who likes to shoot rockets down long hallways.

    Like i said, fine we dont need a scope, but to say it wouldnt be nice is just you guys that have been around since January to say that 'NOTHING IS WRONG AND NOTHING SHOULD BE ADDED' thast just ignent!

    And as far as the LMG model goes, actually i find that Scope to be quite mocking! I mean it just sits there, useless saying 'come on zoom in zoom in you wanna dont you!? just press mouse2, trusts me.' so i do i trust teh scope and i press mouse2 AND THE BLASTED COMM POPS UP and the freaking skulk leaps all the way down the hall in a second and eats me. DAM U SCOPE! DAM U!

    haha that was fun.... but seirously Scope would be nifty.
