Marines In Vents

<div class="IPBDescription">quite a pain</div> It's really quite hard to kill a marine sitting in a vent, with any class that will fit in there. If you try to engage him long range with attacks like acid rocket or spikes, the marine will win out, just because he does more damage. If you try to melee, usually he will kill you before you get there, and even if you do manage to sneak up at him from the other side he can just turn around and waste you, since you have no room for evasive action, which usually accomanies melee attacks. Granted, a marine will move very slowly in the vent with heavy armor. However this becomes very annoying when a HA HMG marine is sitting in a vent right outside your hive harassing you. Any attack on him just leads to you being shredded.

Any thoughts?

I don't think I've ever seen a Heavy Armor marine in a vent before. Typically, they can't reach vents because they're too high up :\

I've never seen a HA dumb enough to go vent slumming. Though I am known to go vent slumming with a shotgun and a jetpack, I often find myself toasted, simply because they move too fast and it only takes a couple of bites from a skulk/lerk. No other class than skulk or lerk should be going in the vents, you're too slow and you can't access the higher parts.

If it came down to it u could just try and send Babblers at him and hope for the best..but they usually die fast if u take a skulk in after them...atleast for me so far thats worked
