New Community Clan

Anyone wanna help?
I'm think about making a huge community clan for Ns. Community meaning not only elites but also recruiting newbies as well. The clans intent isn't to be the best but just to create a small community with servers for players to train and have fun at. This doesn't mean the clan wont enter any leagues or clan battles ofcourse

Now I know a clan that recruits newbies as well as elites sounds pretty wierd but I'll explain the way it works. 1. We seperate experienced gamers with the non experienced gamers. 2. Train the newbies and send the elites into the league and clan battles. This clan (if it happends) will be strongly against abuse on "N00bs". When you think about it we were all "N00bs" once upon a time.

Reply to this topic or send me an e-mail if you think you can contribute or join the clan. Or maybe you just have idears. Everyone is welcome. I hope things pickup over the next few months but if there isn't any feedback i'm afraid i'll have to scratch the new clan Good luck.

Cheers, -Rusty-

I'm still lokking around but servers arn't our first prioridy. I'm thinking about managing members and our site first.

Although there are existing clans out there that do this, it is still a good idea. I found that recruiting newbs is generally hard work; you end up with a clan of 50% newb players, and then they want to be envolved in the competitions you play.

You also will get a poor reputation if you have 20 newbs playing around servers wearing your tag.

Still, it's a nice feeling to help someone develop into a proficient player.

Without a server you cannot possible run the kind of clan you're talking about. That needs to be your first priority

Your rite. This is why I need as much help as possible. Raver i'll take a look at your server. When this clan gets off it's feet you can join if you want and make it our clan server. But ofcourse befor all of that i'll check the server out. It is going to be hard recruiting newbies but i'm willing to do it because i know how much they get abused by clans. Probablly i'll have to make ranks. eg, (Trainers),(Elites),(Admins), Newbloods) and so forth. When school starts again i'll be a bit distracted but i'll still give my best to contribute 100%. Please help me

Most of the "elite" are already in a clan. There are however, alot of clans that are still "noob" based. They scrim, they get better, they are no longer noob. Just start a clan and get who you can in it and you will have a blast.

I would recomened staying away from rankings, instead run a community server from which to draw your clan. The trick is to make it a good place to play, which means that your clan memebers must act as guides and admins, not only to stop the smacktards but also to promote a good atmosphere. The job of your clan memebers is to play and provide the teamwork and direction to create good games. You should find that you build up a community of commited regulars who are attracted becuase it is a "good" server. This is where a forum comes in to allow you to talk to the community. From this point you may want to setup nights for regulars so that your clan can play agianst them and have some good games.
If you have a consistently well managed server you should be able to get a community behind it, from this you can draw more people into the clan and regulars. However to get all this going requires a clan size team of admins and mods to be present on the server day in day out in order to establish the community. If you are there to ensure good games the people will come back and will keep on coming.

this is how I start out my own clan. I play a lot on one server everyday and make lot of friends. We had a good time playing together and we are the only elite player in that server. We start chatting and an idea came into my mine to start a clan specifically for the 2 maps we always play. We started with just 3 member. We didn't invite anybody, they just came to us and say "can i join ur clan?". I said sure u have to be good player to join. later, we had about 10+ members. some members is a web designer and some are a mappers. later, my buddy wanted to have our server instead of playing their server. so we search for a better and cheaper server. we found one but the server is always empty at the beginning. about 2 weeks, the server is getting popular cuz the ping is good and maps is good and fun to play. soon, more and more ppl like to join our clan. after a month, we had 34 member already and still lot of ppl really like to join. I use icons to differentiate the member rank from average-good-very good.

Yes, well, communities take alot of work. Do your best to find level-headed steadfast folks, and don't give up early.

get a site, few members (preferabbly elites first to spread gud propoganda) then get servers up...

my clan currently has 8 ppl in it, yet it is very well organised if anyone is online we have forums up but no server, so id say get urself a decent server with gud ping and high player count... ull always get a gud idea about a clan if the server is great with fun admins
