<div class="IPBDescription">A little game i made in vb</div> I made a little space invaders clone in VB and I though i'd post it up here comments welcome plz, although if u have crits plz make it contructive rather than a flame plz.

CForrester, i can shoot through where shields used to be does this heppen all the time or just now and then?
Maverick102, it took me about a day to make it although i had allready programmed the engine for my A-level coursework which took me a couple of weeks to make and figure out how to make.

Nope its all in visual basic using timers to move the images abound the screen

there are no hitboxes if teh imade for teh bullet overlaps with the image for the alien it gets hit

sofar thers teh shotgun fire sound when u fire, a richoceting sound when u ,miss and the ns lose sound when u gt game over,
im gunna add more sounds and and a highscore thingy across teh top of teh screen and release 1.01 hopefully 2moro nite bt im going bed now its 12:10 am and i have work in 9 hours

i really need to learn java hopefully i'll get tought it next year at uni
Iv added some sound effects and an egg that frly acros teh top of teh screen like in the original alien invaders, the only problem is that with the code i'm using i cant play more than one sound at a time (when another sound starts other sound stops) which mas meant i have had to limit the number of effects so ther is no noise when aliens move, when aliens fire our when the bases take a hit.
constructive crit welcomed as usual and if a visualbasic pro know of a way for me to play multiple sounds at once in visual basic 5 then plz pm me.

my idea is that diffrent ailens shoot out diff stuff and do diff dmg.

start with 3 lives and every 5 lvls you get a life.
