Need Help With Natural-selection Steam Install

I need help with the transition from WON to Steam. I have Steam installed and tested already. I installed NS into the C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\matt_podrasky@yahoo.com\Half-life directory. I checked then to see if it was in my games menu and it wasn't so I though that maybe the BETA 4a patch would fix it and it didn't. Please help me if you can.
Thanks.
My PC:
P4 2.20GHz
519 MB RAM
GeForce 3 w\128 MB RAM
80GB HDD
20GB HDD

Beta 1 patch installs to default "c:\program files\steam\steamapps\your email\half-life\nsp" folder...

SO you need to move nsp folder from the directory above, to your half-life folder under your steam install directory... (O_o what kind of a sentence is that...)

Then you can install the patches over it...

    Hope this helps... ^_^

Thanks. But, my NSP folder is in the C:/Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\matt_podrasky@yahoo.com\half-life folder. Is there even a way I can play it without having it in the games menu? I don't need it there. If I can use a shortcut going to the NS.EXE in the NSP folder that would work... I think.

search for another nsp directory... maybe the one at the right place is created by the Beta4 install...

You have to load up halflife at least once for steam to get the required files, just quickly running thru the training course should be enough.

    <span style='color:orange'><span style='font-size:14pt;line-height:100%'><b>Read, Follow,Understand</b></span></span>

<i><b>Take these simple steps to successfully install ns.</b></i>

    1. Install Steam and creat an account.
    2. Install Ns beta 3 and redirect it to C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\(your e-mail)\half-life
    3. Install Ns beta 4. It should automaticly be directed to your Steam folder.
    4. Install beta 4a. It should also be auto direct to your Steam folder.
    Your done.

Or though when you install beta 4 into C:\program files\valve\steam\steamapps\(your e-mail)\half-life\nsp leave out the nsp just install all patches into your half-life folder. This is important because when I first started it took me over 4 days to install everything because of this problem.

you also can't direct the 3.0b1 installer to change dirs, if it is going to the wrong folder (b/c of having multiple steam accounts or having reinstalled steam). All you need to do is move the nsp folder.
