    <a href='http://www.wincustomize.com' target='_blank'>Wincustomize</a>
Lets you customize the 'windows XP loading screen' aswell.

Windowblinds is just a reskin, so it has the same layout, it's what I use

For XP themes, go to <a href='http://themexp.org' target='_blank'>http://themexp.org</a>

They also have tutorials for installing the themes, and programs for them too.

Don't use wincustomize, besides having to run all the time and taking up system resources, it can cause instability problems. Use <a href='http://www.tgtsoft.com/prod_sxp.php' target='_blank'>StyleXP</a>

StyleXP runs out though, then you have to buy it. WindowBlinds you can keep using.

If you want it to look like that, it's best to use LiteStep.

Windowblinds simply won't cut for that. You definitely need to revamp the whole thing if you want to do that; not possible with Windowblinds.

Windowblinds only skins the start menu and them windows. And don't forget the buttons.

What program are you using there? I remember someone posting this odd named program in IRC once that i really loved the looks of, but never could get it working. Was more confusing than trying to understand what Monse says...

Windowblinds is good for users of Win9x that dont have a skinning interface. Anyone using it on 2000 or xp is an <!--emo&::lerk::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/lerk.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='lerk.gif' /><!--endemo--> , because of its limitations and the plethora of better stabler programs.

Regardless, you should get <a href='http://www.stardock.com/products/cursorxp/' target='_blank'>CursorXP</a> for the ultimate in desktop beauty. It allows you to use png files as cursors and there are hundreds of styles available.

Litestep is pretty customizable, but not as easy to use as other programs.
Here is an example of Litestep use:

Litestep takes patience, but is good for style.

I'm sorry about not replying guys, my desktop is an HTML file that points to a folder called "desk" in my c:

    using active desktop and javascript.

A point in the right direction is here:
    <a href='http://www.missouri.edu/~traf2b/tsDesk3.rar' target='_blank'>http://www.missouri.edu/~traf2b/tsDesk3.rar</a>
(you need WinRaR to extract it)

read the readme, and go from there!
mine is slightly off from the original, I created a command prompt which is basically "run" from the start menu without the hassle of clicking "Start"

<a href='https://home.comcast.net/~ronnaround/Blue_Desktop.jpg' target='_blank'>This</a> is my desktop. I'm using StyleXP plus the sentinel theme; I like StyleXP because it's easy to use and doesn't hog resources. The bar at the bottom is SharpE bar, which is no longer in development. You can go <a href='http://lowdimension.net/' target='_blank'>here</a> and run around the forums until you find a download link if you want. SharpE bar is actually only part of a large array of SharpE tools, most of which rock. I only use the bar though.

Anyone know of a good site for LiteStep tutorials/themes/anything that would give me some sort of clue as to what I'm doing?
