Laptop Games

I need games for my laptop!

I'll take any kind of game except puzzle and sports games. It being free is a plus. Multiplayer preferred, but not limited to. Low requirements. I've already played Jumper and Decker and N, so scratch that off your lists :|

These are my comp stats:

O/S : Windows XP Professional
Processor: Intel Celeron MMX 400 MHz
Memory: 256
Video Card: (don't laugh) Neomagic onboard videocard, 4 MB vram.

All input is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

hmm, yes, I have emulators, but I haven't really found that many great games. I'm too lazy to look for them too.

Diablo 2 won't run on that, I suggest...

    Tetris
    Pac-man
    Pong

I would also say solitaire and minesweeper but those are included!

Looks like Star Control 2 is classified as abandonware...its still a bit tricky to find. I found Star Control 3, however people say that its not nearly as good as 2. I did find this remix pack for Star control 2...I don't understand. Can you play a remix pack without Star Control 2?

    Also:

Command & Conquer (anything up to and including Tib Sun will run fine. Possibly RA2 too)
    Starcraft

Before any mods get antsy, this is perfectly legal free version of Star Controll 2 based on the 3DO version and code from the original author. Extra download packages include high quality music and voices.

Ok sorry, I meant if you Want to play Diablo 2 then you should upgrade your computer because even though they say it will run, it will look like crap and it will be more work than fun just getting past the FPS lag and low resolution.

    Nethack.

I'm sure someone, somewhere has got Nethack to run on a toaster.

Yes, but the toaster was running Linux.

I'm going to suggest a couple games for older-spec machines that don't require real-time twitch reflexes with the mouse cursor, because I know how horrible the built-in touchpads/eraserheads can be for aiming.

    Fallout 1 & 2, and Planescape: Torment.

No 3D card needed, works on pentium 2's, and they're three of the best computer games ever made.

Oh yeah, you should also try Dungeon Keeper, and Uprising, they are some old school games that kick ****!!

Oh yeah, try theme hospital(also by bullfrog entertainment before they went out of business). Great games, pick them uP!.

Don't forget the Windows version of the original X-Com. That game alone can keep you occupied for years.

    LBA 1 & 2 - a pair of 3rd person action/puzzle/RPG games. Very good storyline on each.
