New Respect For Fades

Ok, finished up a 2hr? game tonight. I gotta say that heavily upgraded fades with lots of defensive towers to fall back on are incredibly powerful. I dont know the maps well enough yet to remember where i made my stand, or what map i was on.
It was late game, we had 2 hives (had 3 early on allowing the third upgrades). Marines were fully upgraded. We only saw 2 types of marines: Heavy armor and HMG, or heavy armor and grenade launcher. I had been playing as lerk for a bit but had gotten tired of being unable to even scratch the heavies, so i died and got myself a new fade (needed to reset my upgrades). So i picked armor (L3), adrenaline(L3), and cloaking(L3) and ran for the nearest red blob.
We had dug in with about 6 offensive towers and 6 defensives in a room that was quite close (1 zigzag hallway away) from a marine resource outpost, which itself was 1 hallway away from the main base.
Long story short, with 2-3 other fades working with me, we managed to take out 3 entrenched marine locations, and make probably 50 combined marine kills. Because of these attacks, their commander diverted part of the marine forces to stop us, allowing others to eventually get the third hive up. At that point 2/3 of our team went onos and completely wiped the marines off the station.
Some tactics:
1) Shuffling fades. Have a couple of fades take turns peeking around the corner and blasting the marines/turrets with acid rockets (didn't have bile at this point). After too much damage/lack of energy, run back to the defense, let another fade take over the never-ending assault. Once down to 3-4 turrets, and 2 marines or so, just rush in with all 4 fades and start ripping things to pieces. If you take too much damage, run away, the other fades are big enough that the marines wont be able to get more shots in on you as you retreat. The idea is that the marines see 2 fades at any one time.
2) Baiting. If the marines decide to counter attack from the acid rockets, the two of us with L3 cloaking would wait along the sides of the hall. The other two would wait at the next corner in the hallway until the marines came around the corner, then fire off a rocket or two and retreat. The marines infallibly pressed the 'advantage' and followed them. 2 fades can take out 3 heavies with no casualties if they have the element of surprise. 4 heavies were too much for us to take and so the cloaked guys would start firing on the outpost again, drawing the marines away from our beloved rejuvenation room.
Before tonight i had always died quite quickly while using fades as they really cant stand up toe to claw with heavies. Its really all about tactics and teamwork.
**Just realized theres already a thread with this same setup. Oh well, cant hurt to reinforce a concept**

It is the aliens turn to charge in when 3 hives are up and running, and you have defensive chambers set up near the marine's base.
Its then when the fun stats.
btw
as a bombing fade get scent of fear instead of cloaking.. scent, adrenalin, caraprace(if defense chambers are near)
you lob one bile bomb and it hits marines, then you know when they come to the corner
so you can lob some more.. it really halts any form of nade rush since they cant get the nades around the corner.. not to mention you'll kill em so long as the commander is distracted from droppin health.

Me and the odd Skulk / Lerk held a whole damn marine team back from the Triad Generator place at ns_eclipse just now
using this technique - they come up to the "balcony", and we waste 'em with splash damage. Eventually took out the sieges and turrets they'd built too. And there are lots of these places around... only thing that needs to be taken in consideration is that you need to have a good hideout if they start 'nading. Good aides are Regeneration, Cloak or Scent of Fear and Adrenaline.
