Steam Problem

How can I stop it?

    Easy: Right-Click on the Games menu "Condition Zero". Go to properties. Tell it to stop pre-loading.

    And update steam. It shouldn't be doing this- the very patch after CZ was put out, they fixed it to not do that.

    There is no option for Properties, just Purchase, More Info and Homepage.
    And I remember that problem, which was easy enough to fix.
    I have never had any problems with Steam before now.

    Shut down Steam, delete the Counter-Strike: Condition Zero .gcf file. If it starts downloading it again, you might very well be able to stop it this time. Or, you could just make a new .gcf file with the Counter-Strike: Condition Zero title, and set it to read-only (never tested the latter, not sure if it works).
