Is There A Doctor In The House?

Problem...
This is a serious problem. And if anyone knows anything, please post. It may kinda gross you out.

I dont know when the problem started. Maybe two weeks ago.

I noticed light red dots, about the size of freckles, but bigger. Hard to explain how big they are. Anyways, they appeared by my armpit (both arms), on my back, on my chest and stomach, and my inner thighs (none on my you know what).

Theres probably i dunno 40 of them overall (did'nt count).

I showed my arm to my mom 2 days ago, and she said "lets keep an eye on it." Then i showed her my arms, my back and my chest 30 mins ago. She was quite concered saying they were getting bigger (on my arm). I dont think they are. She wants to go to the doctor but i said i wanted to wait a couple weeks.

I think its because I have been sleeping on the couch. It's not chicken pox because ive had those already when I was younger. And they are not open sores (puss, blood). They look like little bites. And they do not itch at all. And i dont think its an allergic reaction.

Im going to start sleeping back in my bed and wait for the results. So I was wondering if anyone knows anything at all about what I have described. I know it sounds weird, but hey, its had to happen to someone before.

If you have any questions or concerns e-mail me crashxdjp@hotmail.com, or simply post here.

Thanks

I am posting on several forums trying to answers.

A doctor. Or a forum of strangers. A doctor. Or a forum of strangers, none of which are likely to have expert medical knowledge like a doctor.

Just get yourself to a doc, pronto. They know best.

hmmm that's not good. i recently (few weeks ago) had a dozen or so similar dots appear on my hand. i just tried not to irritate them and they died down in a few days. yours sound alot worse, i'd definately recommend seeing a real doctor.

Probably something bit you/ is biting you, most likely in your sleep.

Go to doctor & wash your sheets.

Could be chiggers. Their small insect like things somewhat like flears that leav little red spots all over, and generally make you itch like crazy. Usually walmart will have a chigger medicine ointment thingy in the pharmacy OTC.

Sounds like egg sacks. Burst one open and see if anything crawls out, and do it fast before they hatch and start burrowing around inside your body.

yeah, could certainly be some kind of insect, spray that couch with something...

also, if your first case of chicken pox was very minor, it's possible to get it again -- some people don't work up a perfect immunity the first time...

I don't know what else it could be... measles? do a google search for your symptoms, or maybe for a medical information message board...

thanks a lot guys for your replies. I think they are just bites from insects becuase I have been sleeping on the couch.

It cant be anything serious, STD, Diabetes, ect.

I thank you all again for your input.

Im going to start sleeping in my bed and wait for results.

Actually, yes it can be serious. It can be very, very serious.

Insects biting you is never good. And swelling is never good either.

For instance, if a Fiddleback bit you and you did nothing about it it will rot your flesh out and you'd have to get chunks of dead flesh cut out of you. If you let it go for too long you might even have to get something amputated.

    Go see a doctor.

I agree with those who say it's most likely small bugs. Especially if you've recently changed your sleeping arrangements and are sleeping on a couch now -- dust mites, fleas, and other tiny biting arthropods (they're not all insects) *love* things like couches, old pillows, etc that are seldom if ever washed/cleaned.

Sleep somewhere else - clean, recently-washed sheets because you want to avoid anywhere bugs might have set up shop. See if the spots go away - if it *is* bugs, they should within a week or two.

If they don't, or continue to get worse, go see a doctor.

If im not mistaken at any one given time thier can be upto 2million dust mites in your bed and pillows.

As others have said could be insect bites or nothing more then heat bumps because you have been sleeping in a smaller space meaning your hotter in the night.

I wouldnt rule out he possability of chicken pox tho till you go see a doctor just because you think you have had it before doesnt mean you have.

Maybe it's bedbugs (flat, opertunistic but mostly night active insects that creep out of cracks to feed on your blood when your inactive, yuck!)

Yes, I was thinking bedbugs. However, have you recently changed your laundry detergent? You could be allergic to the soap.

Could be heat rash, those are all the sweat/hair areas. No itching or fever, so I'd be inclined to think thats what it is.

In which case you want to try and keep dry. If you're getting a lot of night sweats then it's probably related. Especially if you've been sleeping fully clothed on the couch instead of in a bed with blankets.

If it were bites it'd be itching like crazy, it COULD be an allergic reaction to medication.

Above all, you need to go to the doctor quick smart, as there's an awful lot of nasty diseases that start with skin rashes.
