QUOTE

Thanks to Shockwave of playzen.net, we now have a server located in the UK. This will allow Europeans and east coast Americans to play together in nspug much easier.

The server can be accessed by making an autopug with the flag -location europe.

come try it out at #nspug on irc.gamesurge.net

(using mirc, type /server -m irc.gamesurge.net if you aren't already on gamesurge, and once connected type /join #nspug)

edit: we have just added a new east (NYC) server as well, which we've been lacking for a while.

edit: swedish server added june 20th

I wonder how many Americans will be willing to play there. I don't think many, they're stubborn like that.

Also, omg a pug where I don't have 150 ping omg

Well moom, I know you use nspug, so it's people like you we need to kick the ball off, and get more euros there.

It'll be a damn shame for it to go to waste, that's for sure.

Been playing on the European pug server (Holoroom) all afternoon. The pings are good for Euros and for Americans provided that they have proper connections. For instance, one American player had a ping of 99, another one had a ping of 400 and thus chose not to play. I think everyone will have to test that for themselves.

Had some nice US vs Euro games today, hope to see some more!

Gogo me in the endgame on eclipse

Too bad NTFM didn't have enough players... perhaps the server will be more used now...

Yes, that double-pistol cowboylike behaviour of yours was very rude, ThinG. My exit-wound still hurt.

    Good games, though.

Hm, well, I used to be sort of sceptic to this whole nspug thing considering it was all over in the US side of NS, but after a game on the Euro server, I didn't think it was too bad...

At least it's better than the arrogance++ games with players who think they're God's gift to NS we call "mixes" over here.

its a good idea, no doubt, to bad it wont work... the reason? only a handfull of european NS players bothers to go on gamesurge, the rest stays on Quakenet. I forsee 1 or 2 matches getting played, then it dies the slow death...

this aint suppose to be evil, I like the idea, its just a fact.

Don't worry G-ZeuZ, I can forsee the exact same problem. That's why we *need* all those people who are interested in making it succeed to put the effort in.

To all the NTFM regulars. I am deeply upset at that decision, but I hope you'll see I didn't really have any alternative. I tried to speak to as many of you as possible before I did it, and most seemed to think the idea was a great one. That doesn't mean I personally feel any less upset about it, as I had some of the best games in my NS career on there.

Hopefully you'll see why, and start to use #nspug as a way to get those quality games we all know & love.

    as has already been said

    Most Europe NSers use quakenet.

Maybe you will get a few games on that server but not many, it would be better if you made a new channel on quakenet

Teeehehe, that was a Kodak moment. Doesn't happen very often that I go all John Wayne from Maint to MS and kill 4 skulks with a pistol clip and a knife when the rest of the team is dead .

For all the people that are being either negative or bringing "gamesurge" forward as an "issue": get yourselves checked?
Joining two irc networks isn't that hard, if you don't know how, ask for help. If you're too lazy, then don't do it :/. But if you don't, don't generalize either, because others aren't as lazy .

Oh and as so many people can "forsee" so well, how about forseeing tomorrow lottery numbers?

Come on guys, it's a nice addition to the existing pug servers. Plenty of Euros and plenty of US players that are willing to play on it. If they don't, they don't. Let's wait and see huh?

a new east server, located in New York, has been donated by Savior[6]loki.

it doesn't really warrant a new thread so posting it here gets the word out enough

don't worry ntfm is still going strong but were diversifying our gaming a little and quite a lot of the community is into Neverwinter Nights now, plus a lot of interest in America's Army. A few still play NS and for those few I'm sorry that we had to let the server go.

People will move on to other servers, games and interests. Holding on to the past won't get "the old" NTFM back, but we can remember all the good times we had.

Thanks for all the good games, NTFM people.
