ns_achio alpha 0.86 released - incomplete map version, but playable - brightness/lighting tweaks - texture & architecture tweaks - new areas added - new ambient sounds - added a temp readyroom - there are blackwalls in the map. The missing areas are going to be behind them in the final release.
....i still cant belive your still ADDING this to it 0.o this brings a new meaning to NS-Mapping! If i could give away mapping awards.. well.. awards at all... your map would get em all, only thing i dont like is the blocked*blacked out* areas since your still completing them. *duh.* lol cant wait till the final product is out =D

=\ well.. i did a play test, quite afew like it, and quite afew hated it, they kinda said the following reasons which i think are quite lame, but.... thats coming from the zuper nubahs.
Complaints people had:
1. Halls to big, cause lag. 2. Maps to big, cause lag, hard to get places. 3. Map takes to long to download 4. Aliens can build hive before marines can kill it. 5. Marines can seige quite easily 6. OC spam
What I think about it:
1. No, there system is horrible. The ones complaining have horrible systems. 2. No, quite easy if you know the map well, and use your mini-map. 3. True. But i belive its worth it, and it only takes long time if the server doesnt have sv_downloadurl setup. 4. No, i think its just bad commanding and stupidity of there teammates. <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif' /><!--endemo--> 5. 1. Most areas are low on r_speeds/polies, can't imagin why this would cause lag --> 2. It is indeed a large map which is still not fully optimized, this could cause lag on low end machines. 3. Can't do much about that (maybe when it get to be official then it w.... /me dreams of the day when this happens) 4. Hehe never heard that one before, isn't that supposed to happen, or a mistake from the rines and their tactics... 5. Could be, I still need to add the vent system in some areas that could fix it 6. I'll add more cover in the hallways.

=D anything to make more people happy, is well appreciated. I myself didnt agree with any of those complaints, except the downloading. But, if server has the URL download setup. Also, i noticed the sprites in the readyroom are.. missing? the Join aliens, Marines, and Observe match ones are missing. Didnt get around to it yet? or just a small glitch? i noitced the triggers are in place, but the sprites are not =D

there is a pic couple pages back but im thinking of redoing the entire thing and giving it more of a sleek look
edit here is a pic with cheap landing gear on sorry if this model seems low detail polycount is little bit under 400 i kept it low so it wont affect performance

I already liked the first shot you posted of the preview model, its a nice design for a futuristic kind of fighter. I would like to see the tailwing a little bit larger (higher), at the moment it looks kind of unstable.

edit here is a pic with cheap landing gear on sorry if this model seems low detail polycount is little bit under 400 i kept it low so it wont affect performance
