Watch at the end when the X-Box logo comes up, the url underneath changes for a split second to <a href='http://www.ilovebees.com' target='_blank'>http://www.ilovebees.com</a> which appears to be someones site about bees thats been hacked, there are a lot of refrences to Microsoft and Halo on there including a countdown to august 24th. the release date has been set for november 9th, so I dunno what could be happening on the 24th?

That ilovebees site is full of clues that eventually will lead to another web-site with more clues. One example is some of the .jpg files on the page is kind of messed up. If you open them in a text editor there is some cryptic message in there.

Little things like this are always fun, but I never understand any of them. Didn't the Matrix have one? Anyway, time to explore.
This guy pieced together the entire image story. Interesting read. Also all the text that is layed over the other stuff on the website are all quotes from famous books/literature. Example:

I'm guessing that this all has to do with the plot behind Halo 2. Supposedly the AI behind the messing up of the website has somthing to do with Halo 2, perhaps a second cortana like program?
More interesting information, on one of the pages is mentioned a varro infestation that is preventing them from selling honey. Well if you look up varro, they are and archanid. A spider. If you read through more of the overlaid text it talks about being attacked by spiders.

Is it just me, or does that cadence of speech sound alot like Cotana did in Halo when you uploaded her to the Halo's computer? If anything, I'll bet the site was supposedly "hacked into" by Cortana.This theory seems to be further supported by various things around the site. Again, it seems to sound alot like Cortana's talking to herself when she was in bad shape.
On the frontpage countdown, it also seems to indicate the stages to coming out of cryo sleep or something, like the MC was at the beginning of Halo. Maybe a countdown to the MC's arrival to earth? (IE, release date)

EDIT: I was looking at the so called "owner of the site"'s blog, and noticed in "her" <a href='http://www.blogger.com/profile/3785461' target='_blank'>profile</a> that "she" had just just joined June of 2004. Somewhat suspicious that it was right aroudn the beginning of these shenanigans, eh? I'll bet anything that this entire thing is a fabrication created by Bungie - an insanely intricate and unforgettable dupe, but a dupe nonetheless. The people, the site, staged the hacking - everything. I mean, how would someone with such minimal web design skills (the "creator of the site") be able to pay for a domain like "ilovebees.com" anyways? It was probably take beforehand by one of those stupid search engine sites, meaning it would require a relatively hefty sum to buy.
If this is true, I must applaud Bungie. This is the greatest advertising I've ever seen.
EDIT2: I think this is as good a proof of my theory as any; the first comment on the first blog entry is by the alias <a href='http://ilovebees.blogspot.com/2004/07/www_10898712253210927.html' target='_blank'>"Cortana"</a>. Look at all the other comments too, they follow a suspicious sort of "story." Again, I must applaud bungie :o.

I'm almost certain that those are idiots masquerading as "characters" in the ARG. I've seen some of them make comments that seemed to me in no way part of the game in other places on that blog.
