I have no news at the moment, well I can say I'm optimising lots of areas of achio. -R_speeds -Clipnodes and leaves (they are evil) -Some areas have revised textures -Lighting and architecture tweaking -Cover for the players in the hallways
Progress: -I still need to add 35% of the ventilation system -I added a few more hallways to balance out some areas (I'd say 100% of the hallways are done) -fixing onos stuck points -creating nobuild areas to balance the map
No screenshots since there isn't much to show you in terms of new areas.
I think by 'in the credits', we can probably expect something along the lines of 'thanks to the NS community for their support," or such like.
Map's still looking great. Here's hoping it sees its way into beta6, since beta5 is apparently going to have no new maps at all except for the latest version of bast. Go Kouji go!

And the 'thanks to the NS community for their support' will also be in the readyroom, since this map was made with the inspiration from all of you good people from the community. And I am gratefull for that. But adding each and everyone which has posted something to the credits in the readyroom is a job which won't finish, not to mention it won't fit on a texture with a max res of 512*512 <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->

It was long time i visited this thread, at least some months ago.
I never though Id see the day....The textures are nice, and it does give the feel of achio. The layout is nice try to the game, but not as playable for NS as it could have bee. Very original, only map I've seen that is created like a spaceship.
what a great map I love this one very original, just straight awesome give it a try! This is one of the best maps to come to Natural-Selection.

Only the ventsystem has to be build and the fightermodel has to be skinned and of course the current readyroom won't do <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->
After all that the map is at the beta 1.0 status and truely ready for playtesting. The current 0.86 is not complete enough to be balanced since it is missing some important hallways and the important ventilation system.
But hey it was not my intention to playtest 0.86 it was more of a 'have a walk arround achio since screenshots won't tell the whole story' kind of thing. But it did appear on some servers <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo--> With the feedback I got from that I already made some improvements towards the balance, especially concerning the Onos movement and the port generator hive its surrounding area.
Like I said a couple of months ago, look at the vents in <b>co_futile</b>. Achio looks so good that I'd hire a contract hit on you if you don't make your vents at least that pretty/functional. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
