And then, sometime this august, nukes are launched.. AND HUMANITY ENDS!!)(#!)!(#%SDLKW#!#)!#%!#%lol)!(#%)SDKLEIOW
Wait, not really.
------>
Coded by cheeseh, this bot supports multiple mods (including
natural selection) and is the most human-like NS Bot available.
RCBot is a bot for aliens and marines, but most people use it just
for marines as WhichBot and HiveMind are available for aliens and
players to practice their commanding skills.
Not using aimbots, these bots were designed to mimic humans
under tough situations whether their infantry portal is under attack
or they are losing a hive. Uses the MegaHAL chat system to record
human 'say' text and then 'say' it later at an appropriate time.
MegaHAL makes these bots even more human. Some people have even
managed to get bots to hate other bots. <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd-->
Sounds cool. Haha, that'd be funny to see two bots swearing at eachother.
"The server gives me 10% CPU time!"
"Oh yeah!? I learned my aim from Flarya!"
I like the new hivemind bots thay are good for pistol tranings.
Thanks- <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->
/me DLs to find out

"All three of these bots' latest releases are all metamod plugins for
Metamodx v1.17", so I guess you're setting up your own LAN dedicated server to test it out.
Still, for the hassle (And experience of running a quick server), training with lifelike bots aint bad.
I should turn off my constie icon and go around with a [wb] tag, see how many people ask if I am one. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->
just one note, WhichBot also :
-runs in classic under certain maps
-will build upgrade chambers, rts, and hives
-can leap as a skulk, blink as a fade
-is effective as a lerk, fade, skulk, and gorge (not so much as onos :/)
-you can control the bots (if you have admin, AFAIK) to form a pack around you, essentially, leading them.
-you con modify and control the behaviour of the bots via config files (how many to wiat up in a pack, which structs to prefer in attacking a base, etc)
I could do it now, I just don't know how to set up and install a dedicated server, then connect to it from the same, haha
there is a definate improvement over the old versions, and that is good.
but the NS atmosphere is kinda ruined when you watch a fade WALK towards you (i can understand if things like blink are hard to code for bots, but walking?)
the marines have had some awesome improvement (they actually notice waypoints now), but they kinda suck at aiming (partially intentional, but i doubt they wanted that much aim reduction)
What windows? What version? What NSBeta?
v3.2 runs on metamod/steam fine with NS 3 Beta 4
i hope these teams will keep on improving their bots, i really appreciate their work and without those whichbots i would still be NSPlayer <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif' /><!--endemo-->
That would be the RCBot, and the latest one DOES NOT burst fire with the Light Machine Gun. I don't know what you are talking about.
gotta love the geek-speak breakdown

That would be a great tip...
I just joined the forums, and im planning on playing with these bots, do we know of any servers running these bots?
<!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wow.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Keep up the <b>GREAT</b> work. Best work i've seen for a while ^^.
Carty ^_^.
For hivemind 3.2 and WhichBot (all), you need metamod. Metamod is included in the ZIP files, however.
<a href='http://hivemind.game-mod.net/' target='_blank'>http://hivemind.game-mod.net/</a> and check out the news. <!--emo&::fade::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/fade.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='fade.gif' /><!--endemo--> killz <!--emo&::asrifle::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/asrifle.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='asrifle.gif' /><!--endemo--> easily.
