<div class="IPBDescription">Changing your name color.</div> I've noticed the Doom 3 engine uses a similer way to color names as does the Quake 3 engine, my hunch was right, because it uses the same exact method to do so.

If you're interested in adding color characters to your names in Doom 3, here it is.

First, hit the ^ key (shift+6)

then

followed by a number, that corisponds to a mapped color for the engine.

1 = Red
2 = Green
3 = Yellow
4 = Blue
5 = Aqua
6 = Purple
7 = White
8 = I think this is black.

So, as an example, v.Defiance with the v and . would look like this.

^1v.

the ^1 code changes all the text thereafter to red, so not only would the v. be red, but any characters afterward.

Experiment around with it, it will be come second nature quickly.

    This also works in other games that use the Quake 3 engine, like Call of Duty, or SOF2.
