4 real
Hiding in the vent above the Marine spawn in bast(i think). I just started spamming Spore Clouds. They didn't know where they were coming from, as I was shooting through a tiny crack (had adrenaline x3). I killed 18 marines with just Spore clouds (the seige lasted probably 4 minutes). The Onos's were trying to punch through the tripmines and nade boys up front, but in the back it was just toxic gas. The bile bombs were also crashing down from outside the spawn, but rarely did they get a kill. One lerk got more kills than 3 Fades and 2 Onos's.
So I'm saying, Lerks r teh awesome at 4 hives. Spore clouds mean win.

Many people have come to the conclusion that bilebombs have huge problems with hitbox detection on structures, so they are sometimes completely pointless against structures. And yeah, Lerks frigging own with 3 hives and level 3 adren. It's got great range, awesome damage, and it's underestimated (right now anyways). Best part is that it's stackable. I probably get 4 times as many kills with spores as I get with Onos.
The aliens didn't win till humans got bored and left, it was on that map with the elevator and turning door next to the human base.
RazprClaw: A description for using Charge to damage buildings were posted recently and the map you describe is Bast.
Not for a while.
Whenever I'm spore spamming a marine base I always pack along adrenaline, scent of fear, and regeneration. You can last quite a long time with that combo. Umbra will cover your **obscenity** while you pop out and spore like crazy. Umbra, spore, fall back and regen. Any marine that would use a jetpack or something to come in there is an idiot. Fall back, use umbra, and spike him to death. The only real way to take you out was said above, with a well placed grenade.
Fall back? Hell no.
Move in, use Umbra, and bite his head clean off in a couple quick chomps.

Granted, I wouldn't assault a base as a lone gorge, but its not a bad idea to have a "medic" on hand to heal the onos as he charges into a hail of marine fire. Not only do you heal the target, stray shots do damage also.
