At least he didn't get Silent Hill. Or, for that matter, any good RPGs.
EDIT: Chances are, he'll make Far Cry about...a vacationing....group of teens...on a tropical island...infested with zombie pirates. Throw in some crappy 40-year old stunts, horrible CGI and you've got a Uwe Boll movie! When "The Movies"(the game) comesout, I'm SO making a series of "Boll-esque" films. With really bad costumes, horrible choreography, and horrendous acting.

QUOTE

EDIT: Honest to God I think they used some sound effects from Counter-Strike.

CS uses sounds from popular archives, probably available for purchase and use by anyone, some such sound archives are even free. I here NS sounds EVERYWHERE, particularilly egg sounds, chuckle sounds(one of the non-playable non-hostile monsters in star craft makes the exact chuckle noise as well as a few variations of it) and onos sounds(soldiers in doom 2 make a few onos sounds).

But still WTH was going on in that gunfight looked like the two generic heros firing at generic badguy soliders who were getting snatched up by generic black scaly monster.
Then the badly designed command center with sounf FX that iv herad in C&C games ok at first it looked good with the flashy lights and the guard looking around then mr monster blew its rating down 6 notches and it continued to fall.
I think a petition is in order lets stop him from ever making films again.
Then again you think we can fight a legal case to stop him from making movies??

Meh, I could never finish the first one. I played it when I was like....6, and I still haven't finished it :/
But judging from your responses, I'm not going to watch the trailer, for my sake

When it opened, I thought, eh, this can't be that bad. I mean, it's got Christian Slater in it, for crying out loud! He rocks! And Tara Reid as "Ms. Eye Candy" isn't entirely original, but hey, it's eye candy.
I was a little confused with the Goa'uld looking thing at the beginning of the promo, since I don't recall ever seeing any of those, but I figured it was artistic license. Besides, all the enemies in Alone in the Dark games were killed by the main character, right? Have to get a new one.
The flashing lights were strange, because these alien things looked intent on killing, not turning lights off and on. The police officer death was cliche, but the animation wasn't bad; the computer graphics needed work.
Why is there a child in a generator?
Then the shootout. What?! Why did these guys load up their weapons with tracers that looked like they were hand brushed in with Photoshop by some crosseyed janitor who figured out his boss' password?! Why do the voices end up louder than the gunfire? Who's flinging the SWAT team around the room? Why are they shooting at each other?! Why did they make the same mistake as The Matrix and do slow motion shots of the shells from the blanks fired in the rifles?!
Why are all the "top minds" in these sort of movies saying things like "I'VE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THIS!!!111" Wait, WHY DID I HIRE YOU THEN?!
I feared the worst, and I got it. "DON'T OPEN THAT DOOR!" Cue the "paper airplane-esque knife toss", followed by yet another example of really pathetic muzzleflash and equally horrible sound effects.
The movie had promise with hiring Christian Slater. Hopefully the movie isn't as badly paced as it is in the trailer, but I fear it is, especially with the director's track record (fortunately for me, I don't believe I have been subjected to his prior films).
Some where, in a town in the mid-west.. lies a lonely bored person who has seen every other movie and still has $7.. I guess that's what they're hoping on.
He made and directed the House of the Dead movie. All i have to say is: Out of EVERY bad movie I have ever seen in my ENTIRE life, it is the worst of the worst. The zombies makeup was HORRIBLE, the acting was WAY horrible, and theres so MANY plot holes its disgusting
And heres the best part: This 1 scene where somehow, someway a regular girl turned into a zombie, she attacks the group of Teenagers and snaps one of the teen guy's neck, he dies instantly and they NEVER mention a WORD about "OMG HE DIED!, or ":Say, where is *so and so's name here*" they NEVER even acknoledged or MENTIONED him being dead right at their feet, they just talked to the police officer about how to escape and kept on strolling into the woods.
I still want my 2 hours of my life back.
and about this movie, I laughed when I saw that knife throw, and WTH is tara ried doing in that, and WTH is with those horrible tracer rounds. and may i ask what the hell that little kid sitting in the generator has in ties with the movie?
So wait, this guy is going to be making a far cry movie too? Well lets hope he doesn't use the voice actors from the game. I don't think i could bear their "acting skills" again....

That leech protection graphic really does capture the issue with bad movies, namely, expecting to see one thing and getting something totally unrelated - and bad!

I have seen better ----------Z class SciFi movies on the SciFi channel that looked more interesting than this. They should just get some of the independant British directors to make movies from games, at least they are gurantted to have people that you know won't have a shred of character or acting in their bodies...

Now I get it. He's been doing the same film over and over ever since.
What did he spend it on... crack?!
Jeeze - this whole thing looks like it's a freaking home video! Not to mention the laughably pathetic "Special Effects" - this is a joke, right?!

Anyways... here's a good movie that was filmed, directed and produced on a VERY low budget: Pitch Black.
It even had Vin Diesel in it, and some very good CG and acting.
