Not directly related to NS
i just downloaded the new driver for my nvidia geforce 4 ti 4800 and started to install it. but i got an error a few seconds into the installation

"The software you are installing for this hardware:

NVIDIA GeForce4 Ti 4800

has not passed Windows Logo testing to verify its compatibility with Windows XP"

then it goes on to say that i should stop the installation because it may impair operation of this computer and contact the vendor to determine if it passed the test. however, i have updated this card 3 or 4 times before this with no problem.

my question is will this "Logo Test" really affect my card, or should i just overlook this?

sorry about posting this in here, but i thought some of you might know since its indirectly related to NS.

I have never had a problem ignoring this. If you do run into a problem you can also uninstall and roll back.

BTW- People have had problems playing Steam with the latest nvidia drivers. Some will lag and others will crash. So if you run into this problem just be aware.

alright, thnx, i just bypassed it and there hasnt been a problem yet.

Edit: eh, the problem seems to have shown its face, whenever i start a game, whether it be NS, CS or any other HL mod, an error comes up.

"Driver components mis-match. Ok to continue. Cancel to exit."

yet when i click continue, the error just shows up again and again. however, when i started warcraft this error was not to be found. i geuss ill just uninstall the latest driver.
