Won Identification Problem

<div class="IPBDescription">just today... my WON ID failed... help?</div> Hi there, and I may be a little less than cheerful. Sorry, but you see, I was unable to play NS tonight, and I have no idea why.
Today, I tried to log on, and connection was all well and good until I got an error message in the console while trying to connect to a server. "Could Not Obtain WON identification". That is not verbatim, but it is close enough you would recognize it if you had it, and it contains all relevant info, I believe. Does anyone know why, suddenly, after 14 months of ownership, my copy of half life would suddenly and inexplicably stop working for online play? Is anyone else having this problem? Or is it, as I fear, possibly more of a problem than "try reinstalling"?
Obviously, I suspect that some unauthorized person may have stolen my WON i.d.: preventing me from using it. Is there any way I could find out for sure? If that is the problem, does anyone know what to do about it? Does anyone know of any other reason why this problem would suddenly show up? Who should I talk to about this if that IS the problem? I am not sure about the relationship between
valve, halflife, NS, WON, and sierra, or who I should complain to. I also wonder what is going to happen. I have never allowed anyone to use my half life cd.... ever, and it IS a legitimate copy, with a cd key and WON id that has never failed me before now.
please help.... Playing lan games by yourself isn't much fun.... you can't even build anything.
Thanks in advance. Too many engineering courses and no computer games make timmie go crazy.

... maybe Won is just **obscenity** up
When u Installe the game again it sould work for some reason..... but if not you just have to waint until the WON servers check u out... so you can login again.....
Note....(This might not be the correct error this solution is 4 but try it anyway)
GL...... im going skulking around....
Sometimes the wonid.west (NorthAM) server is down - I use Central (UK) which seems to be up more often.
Search around for "wonid east west ip" and you should find all the info you need on this, including IPs and how to change the default location.
