Which is a better graphics card overall. And why please.

And is there a comparison chart for the two?

There both crap, save up the extra couple of bucks and get a REGULAR radeon 9800 pro all nvidia geforce fx's are garbage because they cant do directx 9 shader etc well. Any video card that has "se" beside its name means s**T edition. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Even if you are an NVidia fan, as I am, the FX series is crap.

I'd say for a budget card go w/ a 9800 pro or if you want to wait a month or two check out the newly announced 6600 series.

    Get the 9800SE

You can get custom Omega drivers that unlocks 4 pipelines and turns it into a PRO.

Edit - Make sure the memory is 256bit, not 128bit, then it will softmod to a Pro. It should be right in the product description, 128MB 256bit

Are you nuts? My 5900XT runs everything I got perfectly fine. I'm sure an 8500 wouldn't.

Shelling out the extra 13 bucks is worth it, I have this card, and I love it to death.

GG 20-60 fps on doom 3 800x600 on high quality. With an amd 2700+ and 512 DDR400.
