The Penny-Arcade boards fell for this thing, hook, line and sinker. There was a thread about this stickied that went on for like 50 pages full of people begging for referrals and finding the best ways to complete the deals. I was one of only like 4 people to call BS on it, and I'm still seeing people with "Get a free IPOD" in their sigs.
Heh... Heh heh... I did one of these one time for an X-Box, just to see if was just bull-ship, and after going through literraly 70 offers within the X-Box deal I got to a page where there where 5 different offers, evryone which I had to pay for, and I had to do evryone to get the X-Box. The only thing I got from this was 5 spams a day...
Isn't there some way to burn down the offices of the aforementioned companies? Seriously, someone needs to take a pickaxe to the face of some of these spammers.

I did the program. I got 5 friends to help me out. I did the deal where you sign up with ebay. I have received absolutely no spam from ebay, or the ipod people.
If we're talking about the same program, its not a pyramid scheme. Person A at the very top can not earn more than a free ipod. In a traditional pyramid scheme, the person at the top would get something for his referrals, and then his referrals referrals, etc etc. Doesn't happen that way here. The most you can get is a free ipod. 1 time. Not 20 times, 1 time.
Im glad you all feel so strongly about this. But who has the free ipod here? Not you.
