    a nice style uve got there, i think u need to work on ur texture use and ur brushwork a little, but it's a good start

    I agree, great work for your first map.

    In addition to working on texturing/brushwork. I'd say you might want to look at your lighting as well. You have what seems like a lot of rooms entirely made of one color non-white light. This often tends to not look all that good. I'd say a lot of the areas could be visually improved with a little bit of white light thrown in to break things up.

    If you aren't going to retexture the stairs so they look more like stairs, I say turn them into ramps.

    "for you first map"? dont say bs like that. It's better than half the maps on these forums. I really like that last picture. Very atmospheric. The glass is cool in the rest of the pics, but you need to get some sort of glass textre, liek have them frosted in the corners or something. Don't want to make it look too plain.

    Your map is comming along quite nicely - I would suggest adding some vents and areas along your corridors for skulks to be able to ambush (But not overly so that makes it too easy for them to do so).

    I'm not sure how the rest of the maps look like - but from first impression, the corridors are <i>very</i> claustrophobic - nicely done <!--emo&::asrifle::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/asrifle.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='asrifle.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    If jpegs didnt make the colour red look so grainy id really love that last pic.

    Don't worry, these screens are from beta version of this map. All the time he's sitting at the computer and making this map. I think when he finished, this map will be look better than on the screens.

    i'd like to see a bit more contrast in the lighting. not sure whether its gamma settings or what, but all those screenys look a little washed out. i think you could be an awesome NS mapper with a bit of brushwork practice and getting a bit more detail into your maps. i love your style, has a real "epic" feel. keep at it!

    nice so far but please try to use some different textures. the architecture itself is god but the texturing is horrible. to plain for my taste. some more colors would be fine.

    Still means that you can choose better textures. Use some more ns2.wad textures.

    you should use the up-to-date compile tools. mappping forum stickied thread. and using ns2.wad textures instead of the ns.wad textures is recommended to achieve a more detailed style, even with the same geometry. try it.

    You got very good architecture there but try to work on texture alligment. I know it's kinda hard but the result will satisfy not only you <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo--> People just love to see perfect textures etc.

    Overall is not bad at all :> Keep up the good work man!
