Uhm, Siege Cannons Shooting Thru Walls?

<div class="IPBDescription">This CANT be meant to be...</div> It is VERY depressing to achieve to get thru the enemies and rebuild your hive with siege cannons mysteriously killing it one second after its built....THRU WALLS! WTF? This cant be a FEATURE... I mean, COME ON! This is just undescribably stupid and idiotic!

    For the reason they aren't bullets. They are suppose to be a sonic boom. In a way it makes sense, but I agree that it kinda makes things unfair. They should make it shorter range, can't shoot through walls, but does huge damage. In doing this it would be somewhat vulnerable.

    Siege cannons take approxamatley 2-3 minutets to setup, providing you can find the appropriate location, fortifiy it, and fend off half the alien team who should be straight up you butt about trying to set up a siege cannon near their hive.

    If you playing againts some real players, its virtually impossible to set one up, unless you have a hardcore team and a commander who is on the ball. As for pubbing... well it only servers as a "wtf omg" text generator.

    I dont agree. The aliens dont have anything comparable to this. With their siege cannons they can control MORE area than they actually have claimed. Its just the incarnation of unfairness!

    uhmmmm............. we dont actually build siege cannons outside enemy hive without protection,normally we have ( clan -AI- ) have 8-12 turrets (depends on the size of the enemy force nearby) protecting the factory then we only build a few siege,which i personally reckons,it's very unbalanced against the kharaa,coz kharaa cant actually destroy all the turrets/factory within 2-3 minutes and they always get wiped out easily

    The problem with the marines is that they can set up defense very quickly.     I play aliens exclusively and I think the siege cannon is balanced. If they have the time to set them up, then tough cookies if your hive gets wasted, it's time to take it back.

    Seige's are nasty, but heck it means the aliens have to actually pay attention.

    And? I've gotten taken out the same way. However there is a very simple solution that will keep it from happening.. don't stand next to buildings when you know a Seige turret is online, it's akin to standing next to a primed grenade and generally not a good idea.

    And there's a really easy way to down those turrets now.. take out the turret factory and they all turn into some nice safe cover for you to dodge behind. A turret cannot track a skulk all that well.

    Actually I picked it as an aliens reference.. mostly because upon reading the class descriptions I knew I was going to be playing as a Skulk a LOT (because Skulks rule, plain and simple.. and cloaked, silenced, regenerating skulks are a dream come true)

    you don't take out the siege cannon, you prevent it from ever beeing built near enough to your hive... and if the marines as the time to move around putting up a crapload of turrets all over the rsp's or outside your hives then you've lost.

    settup up all those turrets costs alott.... and by the time they start sieging you should have fades and lerks whit umbra... and thats a killer combo for taking out turrets... esp if the fade has redemption... throw yourself at those turrets hehe.

    Aliens all bout preventing the marines from getting rsp's while you tech for havier stuff then steamroll the marines.
