    Looks impressive for a first map, considering most people's first map is ns_OLOIUSEHOLLOW.

    Anyway, onto some points that i have after playing.

    First of all, everything seems very bland. The texturing, architecture, lighting, etc. You've definately got some skill, so it's just a case of refining that. All your r_speeds are extremely low so you can afford to put a good amount of architectural detail and have w_polys to spare. The lack of texture variety really put a bit of a downer on the map. All rooms are constructed out of the same textures all over, and it makes it pretty boring, visually. Little things like adding borders to doors, piecing together different textures for walls and such will give it a great deal more detail, for a minor hit on r_speeds.

    Everything also seems a little, well, "to square." Throw in some more angles and creative brushwork.

    And a few niggles. In the RR there's a rain sound, yet no rain. Take a look at <a href='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=76102' target='_blank'>this thread</a> which has an .rmf you can download which has a fully working rain particle system, play around with it, tweak it, and by all means, feel free to use it if you like.

    Another minor thing, the lava texture, it repeats itself way too many times, scale it up a bit and it will seem a little less repetative and look better.

    Another RR niggle is that the join team signs don't display properly. This is because you've given it the "hologram" effect, this never works well on brushes and i suggest you change it to "distort" which would give a good effect, but it will actually be visible.

    And finally, the nancy rave room music doesn't seem in place really, and also shouldn't really be used in other maps. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Aye i should remove the download on the front post, as its changed quite abit now... and most of what you said above as been addressed

    Is this your first Ns map? Or first map in general, because frankly thats an awesome effort for a first map.

    I really love it!

    The corridors goign to marine start are really cool looking, but instead of having those straight corridors, make them a little more broken up

    EG: _
    / \ (from a top down view) instead of the ---- straight corridor with boxes. Just a suggestion though.

    Or the first map i could release...
    My first map was the BOXMAP <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->. (Half-Life DM)
    Then i made A map with doors and ledders but it was so buggy and ugly...
    i stopped making maps for hl engine.
    To much work, for so less popularity.

    lol, well my first first map was like 3 years ago when i made a box filled with human grunts for half life and watched them fight some aliens...

    Then i started this map 2 and half years later <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    So this has been my practice grounds... alot of the map was just a big box at first then just looked a screenies on here, i didnt think it'd become anything... esspically since i made no real plan...
