i dont know if anyone else agrees with me about this, but it seems all the best looking models are for the LMG or pistol and these are the best looking stock models
how can anyone no one knows what youre talking about? <!--QuoteBegin--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->i dont know if anyone else agrees with me about this, but it seems all the best looking models are for the LMG or pistol and these are the best looking stock models<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd--> didnt make any sense
id say the pistol model is pretty good but the FOV ruins it like when your looking at it normaly it looks like **** but in the reload animation it looks awsome
Brigs HMG is quite nice, there's a Smartgun, tolerable minigun, assorted conversions..
Pistols, Shotties, and LMGs are easier because people are more used to modding this sort of thing. The problem with HMGs and GLs specifically is that they have wacky animation, which makes it kind of hard to make them look good.
Perhaps it's an open mind toward people who haven't posted here much in the past that makes it legible to me.
I agree that the variety of things being modded is generally a little limitted for the reasons mentioned above, but there are good customs for pretty much every piece of Natural Selection. Unfortunately, they don't all fit together, for various reasons [wildly varying styles, mostly], so it's hard to build an arsenal that all fits together really well. There are some full sets completed, like Dill's Spec Ops v1 [if you're into that sort of thing], BrigadierWolf's pack [if it's still available anywhere?] and others. It really depends on your taste. The black minigun was brilliant for my own tastes, but there was so little else that fit with it at all.
Also unfortunate is that every person's tastes are unique. The best way to really get NS looking the way you want is to do it yourself or wait for enough people to hit on similar-enough ideas to satisfy your sense of aesthetics. If neither option suits you, then there's nothing but discussion left. Making requests and such. It's best to be specific. Concepts are sometimes carried through, but there really aren't enough customizers here to model them all, so patience is a virtue even in that.

Indeed, and if you wanna try something REALLY different, you could try the cel-shaded pack <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> It's definitely a change heh, and worth a shot, lots of people seem to enjoy it, but it doesn't fit well using other non-cel-shaded custom models <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
