I can't find a single application in my Steam folder or Half-Life folder than lets me run this game. It's not in my custom game list when playing Half-Life either. It's listed as a third party game in Steam, so I can only purchase it which is totally pointless and useless. So, how in the world am I supposed to start this game!?

If you have, it should appear under <b>Third Party Games</b>, after accessing the <b>Play Games</b> menu. Double-click '<b>Natural Selection (beta)</b>', and you're all set to go.
<i>edit: 'Custom game' option in Half-Life? The last time I saw that was in the pre-Steam era... <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/confused-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Aside from that, the only place with any resemblance to 'buying' NS is in the Browse Games menu, but that's not where we're looking.</i>
Until it goes 3.0 final, you're going to have to download the installation files from the site and install it manually.
Does anyone know if its possible to play NS with just CZ? I know Thansal said on another thread (http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=78012) that you need half-life but on the NS website it says:
"Natural Selection is an action-strategy game for the PC. It is written for the Half-life game engine, and Half-life (or other Half-life retail product) is required to play."
Isn't CZ an "other half-life retail product???"
Thanks in advance!
oh, and that was written when DoDR first came out.
CSr worked, and we figgured DoDr would work also (it didn't)
