<div class="IPBDescription">DAMN!</div> My NS crashes after I make a connection with a server. After I join, I can't quit or apply settings or even map change without NS crashing my computer, which then leads to me restarting over and over. Can you help? <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

I gotta feeling that sounds like a hardware issue. Got ur system specs for us?

I think that could be a hardware issue, un-updated GFX card drivers or simple bad installation. Does your game just crash or are there any 'Missing DLLs' Messages?

Hmm very good point! I'm not at all sure <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->. Thanks for your response! BTW I'm running a 2yr old comp on a WIN98 if that helps...

A good way to test if it is a graphics issue and nothing to do with wrong verions would be to start a local game server.

Run NS, then click "Start local game server".

    Things to check:
    Drivers (as always, esp video)
Your cards compatibility with OpenGL. (Although this would usualy yield a message saying NS does not support Software mode, so I find this unlikely.)
Custom configs (remove them for now)

" My NS crashes after I make a connection with a server. After I join, I can't quit or apply settings or even map change without NS crashing my computer,"

These are 2 different things. Does your NS crash as soon as you make the connection, or as soon as you change settings/ change map?
