i have the latest version 1.1.1.0!
I cant install the game becouse everytime i go to install the game it says
"You must be running at least version 1.1.1.0 of half-life or 1.5 of counterstrike retail in order to install the NSPT. Please upgrade then re-run this installation."
I do not have counterstrike retail version of the game, but i do have version 1.1.1.0 of half-life dowloaded. i do not understand why it is not detecting this.
Please help!
thank you

ex: c:\sierra\half-life\hl.exe
Is this the same path that NS is being pointed to when you install?
ex: c:\sierra\half-life
If not, make sure you browse in the installer when it prompts you for that directory to the correct one.
but i have the right path (the new one) put in so that NS is being pointed to it when i install it. i guess its cuz i moved half life but its still weard it cant see that it is the latest version.
basic deal, HL requires registry access and if you move stuff around you get abunch of invalid links thus making it think that there is something wrong (well there is actualy)
so what you gotta do is unistall and reinstall HL, though you have now sorta screwd up your registry
as a fewture warning, do not move instaled programs around it CAN screw stuf up, same goes for delleting them never ever dell an instaled program ALWAYS unistall it
NS looks for HL, it askes your system registry. The system registry tells NS the old location. NS looks in that location for HL.exe and doesn't find it. NS tells you, you don't have to proper version.
There are 2 ways to fix this. 1) You can edit your registry to say where HL is now, you can find it under Local_Machine > Valve. (If you don't know how to do this, don't, it can be dangerous to you computer) 2) Re-install HL to the new location, the HL installer will automatically overwrite the old registry keys with ones containing the new location.
thx for help guys.
