<div class="IPBDescription">Round 2</div>The other thread was getting kinda bloated and didn't seem to focus on shots anymore, so I started a fresh one. If anyone objects, please feel free lock/merge this.

Here are a few new CS:S shots from a 40 person server that our own Renegade was also playin on:

For some reason that third shot reminds me of MGS2.

I'm not making a joke or anything, it just does.

I tried out CS:S today and had some really good screenies lined up... but my screenshot button wasn't doing anything <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> either that or I don't know where the SS directory is...

Unfortunatley, the command "snapshot", which is what the control menu binds your ss key to, does nothing. try 'screenshot' (tga) or 'jpeg' (guess) instead. if you do jpeg though make sure you do jpeg_quality and set it to at least 90 or they'll look like ****. Valve's JPEG alogorithms aren't very good I don't think.

Cool D00M, I was starting to think it was getting quite bloated myself. I'll be going in game to take some more screenies right now after I close this convo with eediot. Will only be a few minutes.

EDIT:: You got xfire? Want to take some with me?

Nice to see they haven't fixed the skywalking exploit still.

Sky walking was when you'd jump out of the boundries of the map, and you basicly walk around on top of the map, thus you're Skywalking. It's easy to do on Dust, but you need a couple of friends.

One comment and it turns into fact, but if you see a NS screenshot with someone claiming hacker, nodoubt noone would believe it.

Yes, let's bloat this thread with non-screenshot posts...excellent idea guys. Essentially turning it into the first thread, which it was expressly created to avoid....

...something I hope will be/is fixed:

Skywalking is more a mapping error then anything else... only reason why it's possible in CS:S is because a idiot mapper didn't make the buildings in CT spawn high enough, because you just need one person to boost you and you're on the roofs of the buildings. Please note: CS:S does NOT have skywalking (IIRC, the skybox is impossible to reach) but instead you're on the roofs of the buildings. You're actually moving where you would if there was a roof to get up to.

    I'll fix my non-screenshotty-ness soon. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Sky walking has been fixed, and Gecko, as far as I know the ability to stand on a teammate is a server option/plugin. I was on one server, fooling around with my friend, trying to make the coolest grenade rag dolls, and we went to stand on eachothers head so we both went flying once the nades were thrown, but we just slid off. But yeah, I hope some things like that are fixed, its annoying when they have one of the most impressive physics engine to date.

Because you didn't check the box to turn it on? Because your mic volume is down? Because your mic isn't the recording device?

No idea, but its you, not CS:S :P

Considering there's no mute function yet in CS:S though, you're actually one of the lucky ones.
  • HazeHaze O RLY? Join Date: 2003-07-07 Member: 18018Members, Constellation
There is a mute function, silly.

When that single frag grenade killed 3 people the server nearly came down. <i>Everybody</i> lost it, including me. Too bad DOOMeh didn't join the server 15 minutes earlier, or he would have gotten a screenie of the grenade headshot kill <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/wink-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
