don't know if it was mentioned but there are no minimap sprites for ns_lost now that the bug that caused it to crash has been temporairly patched it's starting to be put back into rotation on some servers <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Most mappers edit thier sprites before they submit them, they cut out secret areas, and tidy up some of the look... Why coulnd they also let them include names? I know when I was reading the NS_Nancy remake thread Wolfwings was talking about rendering a map with just the vent system, and one with just the map, so that he could make them different colours and be easier to follow... That to me doesnt sound much like an auto generated map... It sounds like a lot of work for a small (but noticable gain)...
While I usually agree that a thread that hasn't had a post in a month is dead, this is a biit of a special case. The minimaps are something that need to be updated with every map update, and warrant reviving the old thread.

I finished minimaps of the two major tweaked and new maps, ns_altair and ns_bast. I've wanted to do some editing of these sprites for a while now, some minor things like make the res nodes more noticible, font change and simple re-colours. Might wait till you release the new ones, "at the end of the week". Also, would you let me release them?

They are somewhere in the sprites folder so you try looking in it. And sure, release it. Its good to see other custom minimaps.

thanks a8085, I'll start working on my flavour of them tomorrow. also, stupidly of me >< the res nodes are in a seperate file. hence the "random" in "random sprite maker" give them ago as well. For now, cyas, I need some sleep
