O Aliens always respawn as skulk, even if they were previously a higher lifeform.
O Dying with a larger lifeform gives you back the points spent on it.

WTH are you trying to do? make it EASIER for marines to rape your spawn?
your getting spawn camped hard, and you a fade or lerk or onos, and you waiting to spawn to kill the rines, and wats this??! you spawn as a skulk? HI2U FREE KILLS FOR MARINES.

this is the most retarded change ever made, its gonna slow down the mayhem and non stop action that i so love about combat.

and why the hell dont marines haf to choose their weapons again? if aliens haf to evolve each time they spawn, then marines should all spawn with lmgs, and haf to reselect their guns.

why in the hell did you change this?

    You've also managed to overlook the advantages:

    You can actually get gorges after all your team has gone higher lifeforms, meaning you won't have so many 'you mean NOBODY can gorge?' moments.

    You can actually change your tactics depending on what the marines are doing, meaning you won't be stuck as a lerk against heavies.

    Additionally, it means that co_ serves its function as an introduction to NS better, as no longer will new players wonder why dying in NS doesn't have them respawn as their previous lifeform.

    you will always die, there is no, "dont die" and being a lerk wen u spawn, enables u to fly straight off the ground as soon as u spawn, to avoid being owned by marines. i hope we dont haf to upgrade our upgrades aswell

    if the no gorge issue, why not allow to de-evolve, and get ur points refunded, so u can change wat you are, instead of having to re-evolve apon spawning

    You don't have to re-upgrade your upgrades.

    Yes, I know you die. Its a fact. But this encourages you to not die, which is a good thing. I've always thought the kamakazi Fades and Onos in co_ was a bit rediculous.

    I also believes that this helps facilitate the Attack/Defend part of co_, because unless you're winning by a huge margin, no alien in their righ mind would rush the CC room, meaning Marines are encouraged to move out of their spawn and attack the alien hive.

    But you can play cautiously (as you would in classic NS) and thus drastically reduce your chances of dying.

    but dude thats the whole point of combat, non stop choas, and ppl who werent afraid of dieing. this is just promoting camping and cowardness, and slowing down the fast gameplay style of combat. if i wanted slow gameplay and terrified of dieing, and noone rushing. id play normal ns. but i like fast non stop action, thats why i play combat.
    ok i know you haf to buy ur weapons agains though, so at least thats evened out. but i still think it should be done in a downgrading refund situation.

    i like combat for these reasons

    super aliens with stacked upgrades
    spawn as wat you were wen u died
    being able to be your own commander buy giving yourself wat ever you wanted for your style of play
    non stop mayhem and fast gameplay

    im just expressing my opinions. but i really dont like re-evovling

    Nobody seems to be mentioning the fact that it might be possible for marines to win late-game now. Let's just get past the fact that EVERY SINGLE GAME ends in a spawn camp, whether it takes 30 seconds or 2 minutes, one team WILL be spawn-camped for a while. Once the aliens have a few fades, however, it becomes impossible for marines to spawn camp, thus impossible for them to win.

    Lategames end in JP/GL rape, not spawncamps. Regardless, its improved co_ alot - as long as you stick to your defending role as alien you'll be fine, higher lifeform or no. And its made both sides more flexible, as more than one basic strategy (baiting aliens out, getting the kills for SGs and later JPs off them) has merit now. You can actually use HA in combat now, and its actually viable to push into the Hive as a group. Shock and horror.

    Swell job as always guys! Oh and I think the new jp sounds are a major improvement, er, at least more realistic sounding IMO. As if jp's actually exsisted..., or do they?! 8-)

    P.S. LOL, after all this time, Im still a "Foul Beast" jk..., or am I?

    To even this out a bit I think JPs should start out with no fuel. To slow them down.
    and
    Evolve time needs to be shorter.


    I like this new system just as much as I dislike it.

    Only takes 1 skilled player with an HMG to spawn camp the entire alien team.

    By the time you have repelled the marines and then evolve to whatever the marine team is already back in the hive by the time your almost done evolving.

    JP's are still the rambo king, and in this patch they've got much better directional control. The no fuel suggestion would be nice, or just making it so resupply does NOT work while airborne. Easy fix for cheese play.
