BTW, I'm running Debian, so a lot of my packages aren't bleeding edge. Maybe I to upgrade some utilities?

    You nead to make a symlink from /usr/lib/libstdc++-libc6.1-1.so.2 to the libary installed by your libstdc++X.X-glibcY.Y package. X.X might be 2.9 or 2.10 (stable might be useing 2.8), Y.Y might be 2.1 or 2.2 (stable might be useing 2.0).

    I had a much better and more indepth explanation writen, but I accidentaly hit a keyboard shortcut that made me go back to the prev page. ARG. I lost it all! damn windows.
