made a knife.
my first serious saved model.
its like the default, but maybe more detailed, dont know the polycount on the default and in my eyes it looks better than the default. but, im a noob, so. <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/confused-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
what do you think? what should be done differently and things like that.
and is some one so generous that teaches me on this model how to mesh? <!--emo&::nerdy::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/nerd-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='nerd-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    just for being idiotic i made a sword out of it.
    and when i looked at the sword i realized, i want it in my game.
    heres a pic
    <img src='http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v441/eug3n/m66k.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image' />

    and heres the model itself.
    so can someone mesh it and skin it? and put on some animations?

    this eug3nknife attatchment isnt the sword thingie, its the knife model. funbags did something smoothing to it and one slight alteration. made it sharper.
    so if you wanna do something with it, go ahead. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> but it would be nice if it gets used i get a place in the credits <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    you got aim or msn? I've learned to smooth. Give it to me, I'll smooth it, and render it. I might also use it as my guinea pig to mesh <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    well I'm glad you're learning funbags, but you have much more to learn yet with your UVW maps, such as the fact that you really really really need to use more space on your maps...

    that's probably the most wasted space I've seen on a model since I made my cowboy alterations on the default model (his legs were no longer mapped)

    yeah, i told him about that. like id be useful to move the handle under the blade then extend the blade to full length. and connect tops and sides so they flow better. its hoard to make parts flow when they arent attached. but its just a knife, so it doesnt really matter all that much, but on a gun itd be really noticeable. its good to start on something small tho. the words are a little distracting :/ maybe make a seperate file with parts labelled? oh well, i tried to do what i could with it. pretty good for a first mesh tho.

    and yeah, i fixed that hole being there in the blade. i forgot exactly where the modelled one was, seiing now it wouldnt fit right being where i skinned one in :o its fixed just dont have it as a jpeg. oh, can i get the mdl or 3ds file for this?
