Ok, in some poor effort to stop this horrible "is it a jetpack, is it a hoover" issue, here are the sad sounds of my household appliances...make your own mind up:

    Argh! The playtesting group did not support this change! Between RC22 and final, the sound was raised in pitch! I have no idea why!!!!!

    One of the Devs already said that the PT's are there to check if things work in game, seems like if they never show you guys the new stuff then this is what happens. gg max

    Why thankyou ;-) I will strive to bring you more totaly useless information in the form of sounds and videos.

    My next project is how the resource node sounds like the video of my cat having a rectal examination (at the vets, for a blister, it wasnt me...), gotta find somewhere to legally host an avi of a cat having a recorder up its bum first though.

    Indeed on first thought watching it appears a gross thought, but, like pringles, once you start you cant stop. Its not rude...you cant see anything but, well, res nodes...all over the place, but attached to pulsating walls of saliva, or whatever is in a cats rectum. The sound is quite remarkable.

    move it over from your nsp folder (if you still have it)
    one of the sounds is in sounds/items/pickup_jetpack
    the other is in sounds/misc/jetpack
