Uskaarj Public Alpha Release Out
<div class="IPBDescription">UT2004 RTS mod Alpha out</div> Ladies and gentleman I am happy to say the long wait is now over the first public view of Uskaarj is now ready <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> here is the download link. www.uskaarj.com/Files/USkaarj.zip
This version of Uskaarj is not fancy but it shows the RTS core we have so lovingly slaved over since UT2k3 and have gotten stable. And you should be able to build units, base turrets and gather resources. So enjoy this first tech demo and let us know what you think
Control to remember select some units or building then hold down CTRL and then a number this will bind those units or buildings to that number, double tapping the number will zoom the players view to that unit or building.
Drop by our mod channel on gamesurge and let us know what you think of this small sneak peek <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> channel #uskaarj

I think I'll leave it at that.
we turned off a bunch of stuff to keep this aplha a stable one <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
and you have to give us credit for what we have done with the unreal engine.
Next public build will have all the stuff this one did not have and more so.
what about building the turret?? also try the unit zoom command.
build some units then bind them to a number by holdind down the CTRL key and a number, when you hit that number those units will be reselected, duble tapping the key will zoom to those units that have been bound to that number <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

I have that but don't want to buy 2004 because it sucks.

WHAT?!
Anyway, great work. Trying tonight! I really have too many mods for ut2004. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
who ever said it was just for UT? I just played through it and it's good, but I'm not a huge fan. I like the mods, and they're much better than anything for BF imo.
if not here is a quick instuct
Go to the UT2004 system dir and click on the Uskaarj.bat file.
Once in-game click on host game click uskaarj in game type then select map under game rules pick the number of starting resources each player starts with.
Once that is done click on listen server and the game will start. If there are no other players in the server and you click the mouse a window will pop up asking if you are sure you want to start with out any other players, click yes.
Now you are in game. And will be above your HQ building. Click on it and build a construction bot. Once he is done building select him then click on the build icon in his command menu bar and a list of buildings will appear with their icons. There will a be base turret building and a resource building, click the resource building and left click on the blue crystals by your HQ and he will move to it and build the building. Once that is done being built you will start getting money from the harvest building.
To build soldier units click on the HQ and in the command bar next to the conbot is a solider and commander. Click on the solider and watch as he is built. “Note how when he is done being built he walks down from inside the building”
Once you have some units built you can group them by binding them to a number on the keyboard, select the units you want grouped then hold down CTRL and press a number.
Those units will then be bound to the number and pressing that number will reselect those units, double tapping the number will zoom to those units.
The game is really shaping up.... I predict it to be uber cool very soon! <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
I changed the 2 to a 4 and dbl clicked to run and it keeps popping up an area that I'm not directing it to the 2k4 folder yet I am... any help would be appreciated.

let me know if you have any more problems
Hmm, now I have to weigh my options as whether I want to reinstall UT2004. This might be a bit too early to put that back on my computer.
