Fade Bug

<div class="IPBDescription">Game breaking bug</div> I faded in a clan match, and I did not have blink, or swipe. I come out of the egg as a weaponless fade. This is ridiculous, and I dont know how it got out of testing. Needless to say, we were obliterated, because aliens without a fade, are useless.

    A similar thing happened to me TWICE. It seems mid game my slot 3 came unbound (?) So one game I was a leapless skulk and one game I was a metabolizeless fade until I rebound slot 3 in the console.

    I have no idea how or why, just thought it was my bad luck <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/sad-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    This sort of thing used to be caused by admin/metamod on a server... does the server have the most recent versions? ...and if so do they mention any issues with NS?

    Yes, it is very sad when this happens. I had only swipe the other day, and was forced to bunnyhop around the map.     It's some weird side effect of the code they added that stop you selecting a weapon you didn't have. Why they implemented that code in the first place is beyond me.

    Not the same bug though. The Unselectable Weapons bug isnt fixed by binding your keys again.

    While this is getting fixed (supposedly), here's a little inside info for you if you get this problem. On some occasions, you can switch to the disabled slot using lastinv. So, if slot4 is disabled for you, try pressing slot4, then going back to a working slot, then hit lastinv. If you have no slots available at all (you become a mortal observer civilian if you will), try nextweapon or previousweapon functions.

    Well, I accidentally had slot 3 bound THREE TIMES in my config, so it ‘lost’ the initial binding of making it #3… I have no idea how or why I would do such a stupid thing, but that was my problem. Some times the server recognized my 3 key as slot three (well most of the time), and some times it would not. *shrug*

    Sorry for falsely reporting an annoyance.

    mm, happened to me as a marine. Spawned in with a knife and no guns. Was kinda fun, they re-appeared around 20 seconds later. Dunno what I did to do this, though I'm sure someone else could figure it out =)

    edit: This is classic btw, not sure if it happens in CO or not.

    Haha this is kinda funny because I had this bugg in 2.01 and it seems that this bugg has returned to the game.

    Its kinda sad because in clan matches you need fades and if 3 people fade for example and 2 fades cant blink, then you will lose asap.

    So please fix this bugg asap so we can enjoy the fade like we did in B4a <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    This bug appeared in b4a too. Never seen it happen in a clanmatch, though. It might be admin/metamod related?

    You disable all admin utilities during a match (to prevent abuse, naturally), and probably have CD running.

    This is definitely a nasty bug, but I've also heard people complaining about their slot numbers being randomly unbound. If you have this problem you should definitely check your slot binds in the console before anything else.

    Sometimes a bug with an effect close to this s caused by being in certain areas of a map. The weldable path to sat hive on tanith comes to mind.
