"kicked By Console"

<div class="IPBDescription">Why? I don't even think I know him :)</div> Some games I am suddenly kicked from - kicked by console it says. What did I do wrong? How can I make sure it doesn't happen again?

    some servers have filters in them that can kick high ping players, cheaters or banned players
    probably it's that you have something running that is recognized as a cheat

    Uh. Hooo-kay. I wonder what could IRE this server so much. The ping was pristine though, like 30-50 ms. And that is the lowest I have seen. Perhaps they were miffed by my ungodly ping?

    Kicked by console means an admin kicked you. For what I don't know. We have a no profanity rule and we kick / ban for it.

    so far almost all servers I've seen for NS will kick you if you are AFK for more than like 1 minute.

    maybe i kicked u. there was a guy afk for a while so i kicked him.

    No, I were aware that idling players get the boot. I had one happen when I went to the loo <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> But this was in actual game, running around shooting at stuff. Hadn't said anything AFAIK. But "Kicked by console" does that mean an admin did it or that I triggered something that made the server boot me? Or could it mean both?

    I rejoined 3 minutes later and played through to the end as kharaa instead of marine. God those marines are getting creamed these days. Good marines and good commanders are few and far between. But I digress...

    Kicked by console means that an Admin kicked you.
    But sometimes they just do it to get free slots so their Friend can get in.
    Therefore I suggest that you get to know the admin's on the servers that you play on, and maybe become his friend.

    I do so on my server, if I see that someone I know from a previous game tries to join and I have a "NSPlayer" on my server then he gets the boot.

    Uh, ok. Tonight I played on a PWD'ed DNAGames server in England. Was "Kicked by Console" 20 times or more! The server was barely half full. I guess some admin tried to relay some mesage to me "get lost, kiddo" <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
