<div class="IPBDescription">the trick to it.</div> hey all,
im an avid fan of game movie making, and i love NS, been playing since 1.04. Now were up to beta 5 on steam and want to make a video of gameplay. Only problem is, the viewer in ns sucks... and not only that, using hltv is a pain. Perhaps i dont know how to use these things properly, but if some1 could help me to find a viewer like Skplayer and demofreak for NS (these are CS viewers) with the possiblity of freelook and/or thrid person viewing, it would be appreciated. If not, if u could tell me the commands in the NS console for either 3rd person (varied distance hopefully) and freelook? thx

SKPlayer, and any other CS demo utility, will work with NS - its the same engine! <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->
The command for a third-person view is "thirdperson". It seems quite tempremental though - it only works on a lan game with sv_cheats 1, and all the associated cam_xxxx (cam_yaw, cam_pitch, etc) commands don't seem to work
On a side note: I've noticed that recording demos since b5 causes drastic FPS drops - I have been recording all my clan games during b4 but I have had to stop in b5 because I can't play with 30fps
thx
if your trying to make a movie with a plot, get fraps some movie making utility and go widescreen, record the units moveing around. and to the rest through a mic at your house or something, i think fraps is visual only, and be sure to have A TONNE OF SPACE. 8000 bmp's tend to fill your hard drive a tad.

haha! you think 30 is bad? you try get the ole 10-6 with 10 or lower!
with no minimap! on the old nancy! (always had a knack for getting lost there long ago)
Fraps has had audio since version 2.0 (of fraps) came out.
i have fraps, the hud is disabled if u actually purchase the product and it in no way has any transition or diff viewmode options, it just records what it sees, and if ur recording ur fps does down the toilet if ur playing at the same time. Im guessing my surest bet would be with hltv. But i have problems running the damn thing. are there commands i should enter in a HLtv proxy server to access the goodies hltv has to offer?
