I really haven't been to enough other countries to say which I would go to, but I have been to the US and the only difference from Canada is that the whole world hates you, so I'm ok not being there.

Why would the US follow a treaty that penalizes them while aiding its competitors? If everyone was required to reduce emissions thats one thing. But what was suggested would have devastated our industry.

US -> Australia. I'd stay in the US if I could though.
I'd want to go to a place that's a lot like America, that leaves me with pretty much two options. The nearest would be Canada, and the second closest would be Australia. Spent about a year there and liked it.
Frankly, I rule Canada out simply because nearly every Canadian I've met (yes, even in real life) are annoying tactless crybabies. Everything is 'Canada is better this' and 'Canada is better that', and 'US are full of doodie-meanie-heads!' A lot of Australians I met weren't very educated on the US (I asked someone in Darwin and they said they didn't want to go to the US because they'd get shot. Apparently I'm dodging bullets when I go to class?) But what I like about Australians? Either 1) They're nice and decent enough to keep their complaints to themselves unless they're asked, or 2) They're above getting into childish fights about how their country is better then so-and-sos, or 3) both. A good part of England... you're not much better then Canada on simply being humble. Be like Australia. Be happy and nice and hug each other. Because that's what they do. And make meat pies. Which rule.
By the way, I'd like some reasoning on why you guys would go to Japan. I visited grandparents in China and flew to Japan for a few days, hopped around Tokyo a bit, and probably spent more money on only FOOD then a compulsive gambler would on loose slots in a Vegas casino. I actually like living in a house larger then a coffin-sized apartment
(And yes, you can say that this post is hypocritical all you want, my point still stands)
reading all these is great, but what we really need is a poll, so that we have all the results in one place.
however, i could be horribly, horribly, horribly mistaken, so i'll wait for one person to agree with me before i compile a poll of all the countries people have said they would immigrate to and either send them to crystal snake asking for poll adage or just creating one myself.
btw: you 'immigrate' to a country, 'emigrate' from a country and 'migrate' for the winter. can also replace immigrate and emigrate with migrate as long as you get the preposition right.
Marce, good idea but you'd need these people with 3+ choices to make up their mind

Oh and Thursday, don't whine about what you don't understand. The US actually has some of the tightest restrictions on air pollution, and I know it's certainly even stricter then what England has done. 1992. 12 years ago. That's the first year England started requiring CATALYTIC CONVERTERS on NEW cars. Not even on existing ones. The US started requiring them in... what, 1970?
What else? How about the fact that in the US, a large number of cities (Chicago for one) are making it illegal to smoke cigarettes indoors? That's more then you can say about England, where approximately 25% of your population smokes, and only 16% of US citizens smoke. Secondly, smoking causes more air pollution then automobile exhaust. Considering that 1) The US has had better air pollution control on cars then England for the past 35 years and 2) THe US has less smokers, I can easilly say that England has done less about air pollution then the US, and you have NO IDEA WHATSOEVER about ANYTHING you're talking about.
We simply pollute more because we have so damn many more people you tool. When you live on a tiny island with only a fraction as many people, of course you'll produce less air pollution. Percentagewise, however, you're completely wrong. If England were the size of the US, the ozone layer would be long gone and I don't think anyone would have lungs anymore.

been to both of them and loved both.
Germany (family there)
or
Japan (Ive got a thing for it)
I could declare myself king, Duke Nukem style. That, and I think most of the USA would do the same, we *would* take over.
Resistance is futile.
america->italy
Failing that, Mars, Europa, or at the very least, the Moon.
Personally I think the whole earth sucks
