<div class="IPBDescription">What happened to your old disc?</div> Man I found my original Half-Life disc under my bed when clearing my room out this morning, it had a big crack in it from the center out. So I decided to make it more "Black Mesa Like" and give it alot more cracks and scratches. Just picture your original disc or try and make it more post disaster like, I'm thinking of painting mine and burning it etc to try and make it more disaster like, although heres what mine looks like at the moment.

    Hmm was thinking, to get the burn effect would charcoal look any good? Or would I need to test this out on some random crappier disc first? (such as Hitman)

    I was originally setting my mind out to do a simple case mod to my PC which I've just recently bought, along the lines of Black Mesa destroyed. Although I found that cracked disc and realised I could do more than just stickers and random paint splashings.

    Hehe. Better not, I put all my crap games in a pile together to stick on the garden walls to scare off cats. Just went and brought Hitman in from outside to experiment on with charcoal, when I buy some tomorrow of course.

    I've lost mine though. <i>This</i> is where Steam comes in handy. I recently nuked my computer I had no CD to install it or serial code. I simply logged onto my Steam account and it downloaded HL for me on the spot.

    My CD is sort of scratched but it still works fine. The case has a big crack in it and one hinge is missing. I'm glad I have steam so I don't have to worry about the disc zonking out or losing my CD key.

    My CD is right next to me in a stacked pile of CDs that have accumulated on my desk over the years that I simply call "The Collective."

    In any case, it's scratched, but probably still works. Not that it matters; Steam handles that now. I rescued Call of Duty from a scratchy fate by using similar methods as Steam.

    Mines in the Jewel case, but the case has some scratches here and there. Nothing wrong with the CD though.

    Anyway, my Original CD cracked half way. To say the least there were substantially more cracks as I microwaved the CD.     Then, one day, I got this orange AOL cd.
    Considering it to be spam, I threw away the orange disc that was on my desktop.
