1: please unless your uber-1337 and go go on 10/1 kill streaks regulaly as a ninja, dont get more than 3 clips with an lmg
2: what are the best ways of dealing with those that ignore part 1?

if FF is on, drop yourself a shotty/hmg and if u see someone humping jump out and blast him. downside for that is that its highly likely some other nub will jump in the chair and proceed to wreak havoc in your base =/

1. it prevents the very annoying (and devestating) telefrag when you are going to get ammo
2. if you put the armory near your "secondary base" like say you are in ns_hera reception room and have double. Put the armory in double. Marines that have to walk to get ammo at a waypoint are more apt to do something when they get there.
When I relocate (part of my usu strat as I dislike MS bases), I will not drop armory until after the RT round up has begun and the new base is going up. I always prefer and ElecRT-Armory-PG combination (called ERATPs by me) over turret farming. (usually try to mine the ERATPs as well)
Ninja PG craziness, definitely need the phaseEQ plugin as I do often have a ERAP at every res node where there isn't a base or it isn't double. (double depends on a lot of factors)

My bad I should have added "like" after often to better where it's something I would <i>like</i> to do <i>if</i> I can afford it. I'm a perfect? The fact that you even have a strategy like that means you're clearly dominating the alien team, in which you should just take down that one hive you've kept them at for the past 30 minutes.
Jeez, finish the game, don't have elaborate strategies that you can only use when you're marines were dominating the game in the first place.
Other than that, just drop armories as you need them. The best defense is a good offense and the best way to keep that offense strong is to keep a good supply of ammo. IF your marines are having to fire a lot and are at some point where their progress is being slowed, drop and armory and save res on having to equip ammo. Don't be afraid to drop multiple armories, just remember to recycle the useless ones. Use wisely.
Enough said.
so is getting to 100 ammo so you dont bug the comm after the first skulk that you need ammo considered armory humping?
hide one someone where in the map, get it upgraded and hand out ha/jp/weapons there

Good idea but you better hope none of the aliens will destroy it. Your taking a chance on the enemy.
Problem with stuff like that is it makes it more complicated for the commander. And flayra has said many times he wants to keep it simple. or as simple as possible :-p

125-150 in the LMG at the beginning of the game and then thats it. no more do you require. bug the comm for ammo in the field. expect that by the time you die, the comm is ready to give you sgs and other funky stuff. I once took out four skults at double resource in tanith with only a 100 in the clip. you dont need more than that. now if only someone will tell the rest of them that.
Edit: I just realize how old my forum account is, those were fun days back when NS first released! Where armory humping was well, fun!
