Respawn Time

<div class="IPBDescription">Why does it take so long?</div> The respawn time in Beta 5 TOTALLY SUCKS FOR A 32 MAN SERVER! It's absolutly great for a 16 man server, but the servers I play are either 29 or 32 men servers. And it's even slower when the enemy is attacking! That's really the only reason my team dies...because we can't respawn in time to save the CC/Hive.     To be fair, I do agree that the spawn time frequency should be a bit faster for large serverse.

    I was playing on a large CO server the other night. The respawn time was annoying. But, I couldn't help laughing at some of my dead teammates messages.

    "Don't die guys, it takes longer to respawn if more of us are dead"

    Well, basically, it's ok for this guy to constantly die but not the rest of the team. Otherwise this pud has to wait longer.

    I really think your problem lies here. I don't think even CO was designed with 32 players in mind as a balanced game...

    ns was made for lower number servers anyway

    can't be tofaster

    if you have them spawn every 3 seconds on a 32 man server

    Thats like saying:

    "We are 32 guys playing "go fish" but it totally sucks because it never gets my turn and people get all my cards before It's my turn! They should change it so people could just THROW their cards at eachother while screaming!!"

    While I never myself have played on a 32 server, I believe that with a spawn timer on like 5 seconds with 5 people spawning at a time, it's gonna be a game with no end.

    Instead of playing on a server with 32 players, play on an ordinary server with maybe max 16.

    I always preferred lil joints, 5v5 up to 8v8.
    I know in the 10v10 its just madness.
    I dont wanna know about 32.
    Come to think of it, i dont remember the last time 32 was a fun amount to take seriously.
    Maybe only the old tf days of town2.
    Why the hell was that never redone for tfc?!

    Defenitly, damn sometimes I get no xp for a kill in too big games.

    Wow 6-1 I'm level 2 while the one in front of me with 1-3 is lvl 3.

    Take a look at the NS front page. They know about those issues in large games and it's on their to-balance list.

    there is a plugin called respawn system, all u need to do is modify the plugins source to respawn player faster in big games then recompile.

    i dont even think ns itself is for 32client
    ...
    18, tops. 9 one each team is best.

    Could it be balanced so 1/6 of the team is spawned at a time?

    Since ns was made for 6v6, 1/6 would be one player. For larger games, more ips could be made I guess.
