Who else has seen it?
Well I just saw The Ring tonight. It was really really good, I enjoyed it. I'm not the type that likes scary movies either, but I enjoyed it a lot.
The thing is though, I didn't find it hardly scary at all. In fact, in my opinion, The 6th Sense was WAY WAY scarier. Perhaps I am just de-sensitized to the type of things shown in this movie because I've been on the internet too much (and thus am used to seeing things like Flipper eating a cockroach from inside John F. Kennedy's grave). A lot of other people in the theatre were screaming at parts I didn't find all to wierd at all heh. I guess I'm like levellord, without the drugs?
In fact, there was one scene that while everyone else screamed, me and my friend were actually LAUGHING at. We found it to be completely hilarious :P
The only scary part was after I got back to my apartment, I was a little apprehensive to open the door, least the TV be turned on showing static :P
P.S. don't post spoilers in here, so peeps who have seen the movie don't see anything they don't want to see :P

it was good for a horror movie, but when I got home I sat down and watched TV, not scared at all *shrug*
So anyways. I saw The Ring because it was me and a friend for his birthday, so I had no choice. A few parts were really scary, but all in all I was fine during the movie. Only problem is, I couldn't answer the phone or go into a large room without the light on for about a week and a half. I especially couldn't go into my bathroom to brush my teeth. At least it wasn't as bad as one of my other friends: He saw it at night, and the next day when he woke up, his family was at church. So he goes into the family room, and the TV is on. On Audio/Video. Heh, freaked him out.
DOOM, what part didja laugh at? Oh, and the audience you were with was full of wimps. Not even I screamed.
And for about a week i was scared of my TV for god sakes....
I LIKED THE MOVIE THO!! and for some odd reason we could see the speakers over their heads the whole way through the movie, everyone was laughing but scared at the same time.
Yup. So?
I think Metal Gear Solid 2 is proof that they in fact do not. :P
Actually, the japanese (Ringu) was three parts. I believe the first one was released 1998. I didn't find it particulary scary compared to the american one though. The american was more gore-iffic and shock value.
The storyline is more understandable in the japanese one though, the american leaves a lot of plot holes. still good though. (PS i haven't slept for weeks)
The only movie to ever scare me in theaters badly was--believe it or not--house on haunted hill, that movie had images ripped straight from my nightmares. Too bad it had the most annoying cast ever.
Doom, you're talking about the horse aren't you?
