For all of those that have played with [SoM] we would like to make the announcement that we are returning to the gaming community. It has been awhile that we have done anything due to our leaders being rather busy. No we are not the SoM in CAL that is Suns of Metal SoM| we are Sons of Metal [SoM]. We are the original and have been around for about 2 years. The others are a type of counter-part of ours. Anyone interested in joining or at least being a part of our community please visit the site listed in the first post.

Well, with that rant over, welcome back. Anything that brings more players into the game, experienced or otherwise is always a good thing.

Good to have you guys back. I used to game on your server all the time back in 2.01 and 1.04.
Is it because it's "competitive" when you guys play? You all try your very hardest to get the powerups and win the game? Or is it because you guys are "smart" in terms of what you do in a given situation to put yourself at the greatest advantage and your enemy in the worst in classical Sun Tzu style? Or is it because you guys are just human mutants with an abnormal number of twitch muscles in your hands and manual dexterity gleaned from a life of gaming and twirling pencils in class? What's the secret assumed reason for this feeling that everyone cares or should? Let me in on the big reason guys, I hate it when you do this to me, you know I hate it when you do this to me, why are you doing this to me?

Idea: Make a match between the fake SoM and the real SoM and who ever looses has to change their tag.
Anyways, we aren't going to be competetive as of now. Mainly because CAL has already started and HL2 is nearing it's release and who knows what's going to happen after that. But for now we are working on getting our server back and it's going to be like old times, just lots of fun. Anyone interested in coming back feel free. Also, any clan that needs a little practice, we would be glad to scrim.
