<div class="IPBDescription">w/ English subs this time!</div>A new trailer for Metal Gear Solid 3 is on the <a href='http://www.konamijpn.com/products/mgs3/english/video_clips_index.html' target='_blank'>official MGS3 site</a>. "TGS 2004 Trailer" is the one you want, but if you haven't seen them all, you can redeem your sorry **** by watching them all.
Since the site is a little fubar I've taken the liberty of mirroring the trailer on <a href='http://www.doomaniac.com' target='_blank'>doomaniac.com</a>.
<a href='http://www.doomaniac.com/stuff/tgs2004_mgs3_e.wmv' target='_blank'>tgs2004_mgs3_e.wmv</a> 30MB (Right-click & save as)
This was previously released on Gamespot as a crappy shaky-cam video w/ no english subtitles. This one is a diret feed w/ english subtitles, and it details a whole lot more of the MGS3 plot (or at least, what we think will be the MGS3 plot.)
Those who pay close attention will notice a lot of similarities in the dialog between this and the original Metal Gear Solid, which is interesting to say the least.
And if you're *STILL* not convinced that MGS3's Snake = Big Boss, this trailer goes so far as showing The Boss and she says "whoever wins will inherit the title of 'The Boss'."

I'm still trying to cope with the fact that the good guy will become the future root of all evil.
That our allies and enemies change over time, and what is yesterdays good could be tommorrow's evil. Like how in WW2, Russia was an ally due to a common enemy, yet afterwards in the Cold War, they were our enemy. New allies were made in then, and now that the Cold War is over some of those are now our enemies instead of Russia, which isn't anymore.
And Shalashaska isn't just making a cameo appearance, he's actually a major character in the storyline.
The monkeys were there because Hideo Kojima is freaking nuts and likes to throw in funny things into his trailers. In the E3 2004 trailer he had Raiden (whiny pansy no one liked from MGS2) being grabbed in the balls similar to how the president ("You're a man??") did in MGS2. In the E3 2003 trailer Snake holds up a guy on a motorcycle who goes "What is this, another grand theft auto? This is no Vice City, we're in a jungle!". Just humorous stuff folks, some people can't take a joke.
i believe that was actually young, boyish Shalashaska who was groped. lol... Twink Ocelot. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
set and whats the news regarding platforms?
(X-Box only? PS2 only?)
I hate the name "Shalashaska" more.
Saw this yesterday and was too busy to watch the trailer... Just watched it.
Oh.My.God
The MGS series is definatly one of the best ever made... the work they put into these games, and what comes out of them, is truly astonishing.
I can't wait, I wish I had some money so I could go reserve this one right now ><

as for the trailer... el wow? bigboss get's pwnt a lot in this game. and those are some awesome monkeys. and Johnny is the greatest, forever.
On the other hand, Ocelot is just cool.
Whoa, please warn us before you post such awesomeness. My face is stinging.
*pictures ocelot " rotating " his guns, tossing it from one hand to another, then suddenly one of his pistols fire right in his foot. AAWTH *
Really looking forward to the game, but let's hope they don't stretch the ending like they did with the last.

That's actually closer to the traditional bosses of series than anything. MGS1 was the only one to have 'realistic' bosses. And that's only if you count a witch doctor who controls birds & a floating psychic to be realistic. :P
Also, an awesome bit of knowledge:
The ocelot gunplay stuff is 100% motion cap from a real actor actually doing that w/ the guns. Its some old guy too, heh. Go to Gamespot and watching the "Making of MGS3" video. Definately neat.
the trailer or A trailer to Halo 2, now it aint out in england yet but it might already be out in the states
<a href='http://www.gamespot.com/xbox/action/halo2/media.html' target='_blank'>halo trailers</a>
the trailer i mean is called <b>E3 2004 Halo 2 Demonstration</b> its near the bottom of the list of the Exclusive movies
EDIT: i just watched the trailer for MGS3 because i was waiting for it to download while i put this post up, but i must admit that game looks like it is going to kick some A*** , the music they use really makes a good atmosphere
But Doom, Psycho Mantis was realistic... I mean... he MOVED YOUR CONTROLLER!!!

Link? I'm lazy.
Pheonix, this topic isn't to post game trailers, it's to watch/discuss about MGS3.

Nevermind, I watched it. Pretty awesome too
Anyhows, I can't wait to play the Ape Escape game mode. On character names, I think they're good. Its just a bit of foreshadowing for the FOX-HOUND codename system. Solid, Liquid, Psycho, Decoy, Vulcan Raven, they're just as good as Pain, End, Sorrow, etc.
As long as its better than "Coward Duck", I'm fine. :P
Look at that eye, man!
Look at it!
Anyways, I wonder what "special ability" The Despair has...
EDIT: Er, yeah. That's what I meant. Sorrow.
