all rights reserved
The bait tactic requires two people one to draw the fire other to kick **obscenity**

Did this once two bobs (skulks) one hide some where near a passage way the other (the bait) at the other end in line of it get shot at but they can’t get it from that distance and the hide some where safe. The marine ether comes out in to the open eyes fixed only on they’re pray or the run out of bullets the other kills him easily with out hardly any fuss

Manage to get ten kills each before having to go and get healed then they hardly went that way

I've done that several times 'unwittingly'. Didn't know that skulk was there but I'm glad he was feeling hungry and watching my back after tagging the Marine spawn with parasite

Another good use of this is on Resource Nodes. Have a buddy attack a Marine's Resource Node. When they send a guy to kill the intruder, flank him. This works good on ns_nothing. (I think that's the one, maybe it's eclipse.)

    I love using this strategy

Its very easy to do because when the marinse starts fireing at a the bait, his focus is on the bait only. And that makes him very easy to kill.

yeah its great hehe i know i was cloaked as a fade once.. (right in the middle of a room) and this little gorge comes runnin in. i see some bullets go wizzing past and the gorge goes.. O **obscenity** and starts to waddle away (since gorge speed is even slower than marine speed..) so these marines thinking they got an easy kill come runnin our laughing all the way, till my claws took off their heads hehe. Gorge didn't even know i was there man was he happy

on another note just won an insane game as alien.. typical join its at the end of the game , heavy marines are moving in on our last base i spawn upgrade celerity and caraprace. and we just start harrassing the marines. we must have had skulks everywhere because not only did we kill the heavies but i think we hit every resource node as well as taking down both their hive setups. from that point we came back and won the game..( i noticed after our first few rushes the marines started coming out without heavy armor so i guess the resource really hurt them). Our whole team had thought we lost but.. maybe they had a bad commander? Still, a skulk with celerity is .. insanely fast and the caraprace makes him really hard to kill
    jump in
dodge around jaws biting, basically just move erratically and its really hard to hit you as the heavy.. when you get hurt you jet away..
fill up and come back, the guy barely has time to scream for a med pack before your on him again. Yes, heavies can die from skulks

Yeah it is definitely a great strat. You can confuse and harass your enemy so much more effectively with 2 people working in tandem. To lure the marine initially, use parasite. It always pisses em off, and marks them for later... chomping, to boot

    Yes great strategy,

Say you and your buddy are Fades and you managed to clear the turrets defending a resource node. One Fade should cloak in the corridor outside while the other attacks the node. When marines come to defend the resource, the Fade outside should slice them up, then go invisible again.

If you are really devious take your time destroying the building and watch your mate's kill count increase, increase, increase...

The cool thing is people always do this unconsciously (sp!). Players enjoy seeing marines being attacked by 10000 skulks and screaming in the mics to the commander ahhhh!!!

Yes, this tactic can work great, however if the marine never comes you may get paranoid w/o cloak...could be right there or not at all! Another wonderful feature of ns
