Stupidity On Ns_hera

Common sense, anyone?
I have noticed from countless times of playing ns_hera, that that door in the marine spawn leading to the dark hallway is never shut. Why exactly should it be shut, you say? Well, for any one that doesn't have the second half of their brain, I will explain. Fade can easily just stand at the end of the hallway, tossing acid rockets right into the marine base and at the turrets that are usually situated around the door. If the door is not closed, then it can turn into an all out killing spree on the fade's part. I can't count how many times I have died simply because no one shut that door. Also, having that door closed can be helpful in the first few minutes of the game. Think about if, it you're helpless while building a structure, and a skulk can run in and bite your balls off without any sufficient notification, then there is some thing wrong. With the door closed, many times you can see the skulk on the other side, or hear the noise the button/door makes, in which case you can ready yourself for the skulk threat and often times defeat it.
So all I ask right now is this, why is it that the majority of NS players always leave that door open? They are openly exposing themselves to attack just because they did not want to spend all of 0.01 seconds to press a button on their way in/out. Maybe people just lack the ability to think and bring together actions; such as dying, and the fact that the door is wide open; together? I don't know, main reason why I'm writing this is because I just got killed one too many times by a fade standing twenty feet away all because my teammates couldn't figure out how to close the door And I guess I'm also hoping people will read this and then come to the conclusion that it is in their best interest and safety to keep the door closed?

Also have you ever noticed the double double doors in the hold in (some map with a hold and double double doors), if you open the doors, then hit the close button and stand just under the first door only one door will close, if you then run out and hit the button again one door will open and one will close/remain closed. Bingo! you have alternated the hold doors and anything trying to get through just has a split second chance. This stops onos DEAD until they figure out how to get through.
I would say this is a big fat bug in the map(s), and that doors/elevators should just mash anyone under them.
and back on the stupidity issue- Just recently I lost another 2 games on Hera due to my Marines not defending Maintenance/the Hive above it ..........only a few minutes after that we lost
Damn the insubordinate Marines!!!
Heh, I was a marine and firing at those pesky Kharaas with my LMG and then I see an Onos. I hit 'use' and the door slams down right on the big ox-creature. It died.
I learned a valuable lesson that day. Doors are your friend.
I'm tempted to make it automatically close in the next version of Hera. At least then people don't HAVE to close it all the time.
