The Longest Series
<div class="IPBDescription">of videogames</div> what do you think?
wich realm of videogames is the longest?
The games story neend´t to be continuos or anything, they just have to play in the same realm or have teh same characters featuring.
Even different platform are allowed. Only thing is that all products you count in have to be comemercial products.
So what do you think, whts the longest video game series!
And don´t forget to tell us all parts, or it doesn´t count!

/me jumps in flame proof bunker....
P.S. they all suck.....
Incarnations or time span?
and, well i go with the megaman thing, too.
theres a hell of megaman games out there.
Personally, for sheer proliferation I'd vote for Pong. Every tennis game today could technically be counted as a knockoff, along with the 'solitaire pong' version, Arkanoid. And its updates/ripoffs. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Resident Evil
Though I may be incorrect... it's been a long-**** time since the last King's Quest came out. Though that didn't neccessarily have a continuing storyline.
(Old school gaming. Take THAT, resident zombie-puncher!)
And I believe Pac-Man and Donkey Kong have it beat on both counts. Plus, Donkey Kong has a GameWatch version. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Win!
I think it's cheating to include the oldies though since half of them are just ports to various systems.
Of ycourse you can say, tehre are 50+ pacman iterations, i only know a handful, so please prove your statement.
