<div class="IPBDescription">that welded door under the command chair</div> On hera, there's a welded door under the command station. I was just wondering if it's worth opening the gate, or whatever it does. The room immediately behind the marine spawn has another resource node.

    If you guard the room well, and don't mind having another possible entry route for the aliens, then yes. It also allows a back way into the holo room incase the aliens have Hera Entrance secured or most of their holoroom defense (if they control it) is towards the front.

    Personally I prefer to have it closed. It just gives those pesky aliens another way in. Just my preference tho.

    Leave it shut - between that and the door at the spawn, there's only one way for the aliens to get in if you don't have a Phase Gate up.

    there are 3 ways for aliens to get into the marine base without the weld door.

    Also, the weld door has a switch on the marine side of the base that can open and close it. So, should that area be compromised, you can simply shut it closed until you're ready to go back in.

    i think that area is very valuable.. it's a 2nd resource pool at your base, basically. Your troops can easily protect it right away.

    What most people don't realise is there is a switch to open and close that door from the marine side. The only way to open it from the outside is with a welder. Go ahead, open the door. Just make sure your marines keep it closed whenever possible.
